Mine came in the mail yesterday and I must say for $10 I'm impressed! I loaded a Personna and lathered up with VDH Deluxe and proceeded to get a BBS shave in 2 passes. Mine didn't have a problem with blade alignment so I guess I got lucky. I think with the heft of this razor it would be good for a newbie but for me it's my new travel razor.

I received my Utopia yesterday and tried it out i found it really gave a nice close shave and i like it , i did have to line the blade up so it was even on both sides other then that I had no problem at all with it and would recommend it to any one looking for a nice sturdy DE razor . I don't think your going to find a better deal for the $10 price and free shipping and also includes a pack of 10 Derby platinum Extra blades (for a change in our economy) some think well worth the money !!
Shave 1 May 2014 ... 2 Pass BBS today. The Portman Square used in yesterday's shave simply did not allow enough protection for me so I was less aggressive and had to make an extra half pass so it was not the razor or blade issues.
No I did not get a job with Utopia. However, this is a test in plain sight which is unusual for me. For most tests I will not post SOTD photos to prevent early discussion before I am through evaluating, but this year I decided to do a little less rigorous testing and keep posting photos.
