Behind the Times: So this past weekend, I finally took the opportunity (thanks to my son's subscription to Netflix) to watch a show that EVERYBODY has been talking about for the past number of years‚ and I have never seen until now: "Breaking Bad." Yeah, I know. I must have been living under a rock. But my older sister—an ICU nurse—recently watched the whole series on Netflix & told me I had to watch it. Being that she deals with meth-related casualties in her line of work, she convinced me to look into the show. I am halfway through the second season and I must admit, it is compelling viewing. Well-written & acted. All I ask is don't anyone tell me what happens at the end as I've plenty of viewing still to do…
I am clearly the only resident of Jerusalem that knows not of these things. Actually, I'm the only one who started the series and couldn't get into it.
Ok, I won't let it slip that Walter was a robot the whole time! (Move your mouse to reveal the content) Walter was a robot the whole time! (open) Walter was a robot the whole time! (close) Kristin Shepard shot J.R.
My classes are starting a solar energy project today. They will be spending the week building working solar ovens from simple materials.
I've got one but considering returning it as part of the big Force recall. I like the device, however don't like the rash...
Thanks to XDA I was able to revert back to the last good (IMO) version of Dolphin browser for Android. Seriously, what were the devs thinking on this new release? I know the prior version wasn't perfect, but to strip out the functions that made it useful to many people, then their responses to upset people on Play sounded just like Microsoft with their metro interface. Guess I know where Steve Ballmer ended up.
Got to go see the doctor this afternoon. I have a small lump in the palm of my hand. At first I thought it was a callous, but it has stuck around so long, I'm starting to suspect it's some sort of ganglion cyst. Hopefully it's nothing major, but I'm getting it checked out, just in case. You can never be too careful about these things--especially when it's on your writing/mouse hand, and you make your living working on computers.
Swipe right to bookmarks gone, swipe left for plugins gone, desktop toggle gone, tabs gone, speed dial gone, home button gone, the new UI takes up ¼ of the screen.
