I have really enjoyed the Stahly head on a standard handle. Too bad that head design is no longer manufactured.

This is my '47 Gillette Aristocrat, my birth year razor. It's a great shaver. I am thinking of getting it replated in gold.

What can you tell me about the brush in this first picture... I love it!

PM Facial Carnage to see what he used on the handle as a finish. The brush is a Rubberset small handled brush which many call the "barber's shaped handle" with a Generation 3 synthetic knot replacing either what was most likely boar or maybe lower grade badger that was originally in the handle.

This is my favorite razor... the late, great Robert Smith of Bob's Razor Works made the handle for me and had the head replated.

Thank you! GDC is correct! When I purchased this brush is was missing a good portion of its hair, which was lower grade badger hair. After removing the hair I use a cherry and gun stuck color stained followed with a CA Glue finish to get the high shine on the wood. It was a fun project, but CA finishes can be tricky. It is important to be in a dust free environment and to wear gloves to protect from fingerprints, smudges, etc.
