I'm starting this new thread now because I'll have no time to do it later. For our return trip home this will be my set-up. Menthol Monday: Neutrogena Men Facial Wash Large Horsehair Barbershop Super Speed/new Sharp Stirling Glacial Obsidian SS Diana Sport Menthol Balm Osage Rub AS Aramis EdT This is what you can say is the Mother of All Menthol Set-ups - first off, we have the Neutrogena facial wash which feels very cooling when you leave it on your face for a couple of minutes and it's very skin-friendly with a nice scent. Secondly, this Glacial Obsidian soap is so damned cold that the menthol fumes make your eyes tear and your nose run sometimes, and each pass is more frigid than the one before. Finally, Diana and her boyfriend, the Rubby Dubby Doo are the absolute ultimate frigid aftershave combination!

Dove Men's Face Wash TOBS Lavender Shaving Cream Frank Shaving Finest Badger Gillette Aristocrat '47 Astra Superior Platinum CWR Dickinson's WH Aqua Velva Ice Blue The TOBS Lavender face lathered very well with my Frank Shaving finest badger brush. Two passes with my Gillette Aristocrat and Astra Superior Platinum blade left me with a close comfortable shave. After my cold water rinse, I finished off with Dickinson's WH and Aqua Velva Ice Blue after shave. It was a very nice shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
Monday Morning Shave Razor: Edwin Jagger DE8911 Blade: NOS Astra Blue (1) Brush: Vie-Long White Horse Hair Soap: Arko AS: Barbasol Pacific Rush After taking hot shower, I had an excellent BBS. I don't know if it's because of the shower's effect or the blade's performance but it was my best shave ever. I must say that I can't shave with green astra. Astra green irritates my face awfully but Astra blue is perfect and comfy.
Futur first Today I used a Merkur Futur for the first time. I'm impressed with the heft and volume of this one. It's the heaviest razor I've ever used, but it's very well balanced and easy. It's also the loudest razor so far - easily audible as it cuts through stubble. I used it on 1.5 this time and I got a three pass comfortable BBS. Tomorrow I'll try a higher setting. I did not find the handle to be slippery, and I had no problem maneuvering around a mole. This is an excellent razor. Prep: RR/HTGAM lime menthol Soap: HTGAM Synergy Frost_Byte Brush: HIS Razor: Merkur Futur (1.5) Blade: Personna Lab Blue (1) AS: Krampert's Finest Frostbite, HTGAM Synergy Frost_Byte lotion

I really like this brush. It performs just as well as any of my other brushes; it just has a smaller knot. Have a great day!

A match made in heaven on all fronts. The MITA is one of my favorite Stirling soaps. It has just the right touch of menthol for me and lathers like a champ. My $9 Omega boar will keep up with any of the rest. This was one great shave: smooth, close, and nick free. I finished up with Krampert’s Frostbite. It is a perfect match with the MITA. Bob

Your impressions and experience with the Futur are identical to mine: a large, well-balanced razor that truly is noisier (audible feedback when shaving) than most any other razor I've used. Easier to maneuver, and pending the setting, extremely efficient. The Futur is a great razor‚ and another sold DE razor that I have some regrets about not having anymore.
