I can't copy the full quote on my tablet, but Joe just announced on FB that after receiving all of the feedback on the test pilot run of the stealth slant, he's ordering a full run. The final version will come in black anodize and clear anodize. He also teased that the final version will come with a freebie that all of the testers requested. His guess is that he's about a month away from having the new product in his hands. He also said that he will keep pricing fair and nothing like the prices being seen at auction. I'm excited, because I really like the bakelite slant that he used for inspiration.
Thanks for posting this. I have yet to see a review here on TSD. I have a Merkur 37c, is this razor more efficient? Anyone?
Here's the posting from FB: Okay, a little bit of Slanted news. After reading reviews/feedback, and talking to a lot of people (Thank you everybody). We have decided this razor should be put into full production. If will be offered in both a Black HARD anodize and a Clear HARD anodize. Also, you can forget the stupid prices you are seeing on eBay, the razor will be offered at a fair price and we are throwing in a special bonus that a bunch of testers hinted they wanted (FREE). Timeline... I can't promise anything but maybe a month out. He also said this about the clear anodize: Clear is like a clear coat, basically it's a raw/natural aluminum look
Any guesses as to the freebie? I bet it's a case, similar to the one that the Bakelite Slant came with.
I'm curious as to what the freebie could be too. I'm not a fan of the black one from the pics I've seen, but if the clear one looks okay and is priced right, it would be tempting.
Multiple people commented that they hoped it would come with a stand much like the ikons. I bet it'll be that!
I mentioned how ridiculous the auction prices were on b&b and a mod deleted my comment and went balistic on me
As requested, here are a couple pics: First, the razor (Joe hasn't posted any pics of the clear anodized version yet): Second, his teaser of what we are assuming is the stand it'll come with:
