Razor: Noonan & Son Domino 5/8 Half Hollow
    Brush: FS 21mm HMW
    Bowl: Woodhead medium scuttle
    Pre Shave Soap: MRGLO Lime
Pre Shave Oil: Lime & Spearmint
    Shave Soap: Neumann 1907
    Post: Monster Alum Block
    Aftershave: Neumann 1907
Pulled out a straight this morning and this Noonan half hollow provided me the closest shave so far with a straight. Maybe my technique is getting better or the half hallow doesn't flex as much or both. Only had to use a DE to clean up small patch under lower lip. I know practice, practice, practice and patience so I think for now using a straight will be reserved for the weekends. The Neumann 1907 is winning me over, especially the aftershave.

Have been on the watch the past couple of nights. A cougar killed another one of my goats two nights ago and, I killed a coyote last night. Don't know if he was the one or just a scavenger. Needless to say, my shave routine has been a little erratic of late.
Have a great weekend Gentlemen! :happy005:

    Frey's Day:

Prep: Hot shower, TSD Jasmine Sambac Preshave balm
    Brush: Beeline Boar
    Soap: Ginger's Garden Coffee Jasmine
    Razor: Merkur 41c 1904 OC
    Blade: Bic Chrome Platinum (6)
    Passes: WTG, XTG (14, 15)
Post: Cold water rinse, Bloc Osma alum, Dickinson's WH, Aveeno Active Naturals ASB
Cologne: The Third Man by Caron

I remembered to bowl lather today; go me:rah:. Naturally, this meant I produced enough lather with the Ginger's Garden soap to do about 8 passes, on a day when 3 would have been superfluous; 2 passes were ample for an irritation-free DFS without bloodshed. It seems hard to believe the Bic blade was still going strong on day 6, but that's the case. I probably could have pushed it even further, but I decided not to press my luck and tossed the blade after today, rather than letting it bite me tomorrow.

    Prep:
Neutrogena Invigorating Face Wash, 2 hot towels, Proraso Preshave (Sensitive)
    Brush: Simply Beautiful Badger
Cream: Kiss My Face Moisture Shave - Key Lime
    Razor: Merkur HDC
    Blade: Gillette Super Blue (4)
    Post: Cold water, Thayers, Cortizone-10
    Poo-Goody: Aqua Velva Ice Sport
    2 passes - X, A, touch ups

First time with the KMF, and I can't say enough about it. I found it locally (Wegman's), it was on sale for less than $5, it lathered like a dream, and the light lime scent is fantastic for hot weather. Decent shave, and the C-10 took care of what little irritation there was. Can anyone recommend any non-alcohol based after shaves/splashes? I've grown to like the old-school scents of AV, OS, etc., but I think the alcohol aggravates my skin.

Today I finished my sample of Maggard Razors Pre-Shave Oil. I have not used my VDH Luxury Mug & Shaving Soap set for several weeks. I put hot water in the mug, (actually I forgot about it) I soaked my razor and brush in a bowel of hot (boiling) water. I dipped my Face Wash Cloth, I put it on my face. I applied the first Shaving oil. I lathered my brush, proceeded to shave with my Razor (I need more of the Astra SP DE/SS Blades). I got a DFS not quit a "Rudy Castiel Clean Used Car! " aka "Rudy Castiel Clean Shave"
After my first pass I washed my face again with Neutrogena Men Invigorating Face Wash, I wiped the soap off and applied a good portion of Pacific Shaving Co. All Natural Shaving Oil. I re-lathered my face again with the VDH Luxury Shaving Soap and my WD 30/65 W/ Resin Handle Silver Tip Badger. I the proceeded to shave again with my Schick Xtereme 3 Disposable. I shaved ATG, This time I got a CCS and DFS. After the second pass I used a wet face towel. I then applied my ASB Nivea After Shave Balm, waited about 10min and then applied my A/S Mennen Skin Bracer. While shaving today I was listening to the local news reports about the Fires that are burning in the Northern Area of San Diego County and the Fire on Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton.
Please keep the folks that are fighting these fire's and all the evacuees and the folks that are volunteering in your thoughts and prayers.
I am not trying to be religious or anything but I have lived thru a fire where I lost almost everything I owned.

Sounds like a great shave. I am looking at the WD 30/65 but was concerned about it fitting the VDH mug, that I really like. Does it work well to bowl lather? I'm ex Army so "Hooah" :transport024:
