That reminds me, today was the first time I waxed up the 'stache since November. It's at 5 weeks growth so still too short to call it a handlebar, but it's gettin' there
Driveway is all poured, shed moved, sliding door re-built, pool filled, yard mostly cleaned. A pretty productive day.
Had my first cup of Ben & Jerry's ice cream today in probably 5 years or so. It was a fantastic treat after a long hot day of moving rocks.
Added to the collection this weekend. Best I've been able to figure out, it's a 1959 Sears Tower Tabulator (rebranded Smith-Corona). I've only been able to find 1 online. The seller wants $150 for theirs. I gave $20 for mine. I think I did alright.
Today is my first appointment with an orthopedic surgeon who specializes in CTS (Carpal Tunnel Syndrome). I anticipate a scheduling of a time where I'll have the standard CTS surgery performed (out-patient), with a recovery period anywhere from 3 to 4 weeks where I will be without use of my left hand. As much as I'll NOT miss the chronic pain I have been experiencing on a daily basis for the past six months, the prospect of not having use of my dominant hand for nearly a month is rather daunting and a bit discouraging.
I'm not sure if it's just that I hate working in general, or if I just hate my job. But I kinda hate my job.
