I know, I know.... Shaves only every two days he says... I just couldn't help it... I dialed in my Stirling. I think I have a problem Prep: No.7 Face Wash Razor: Gillette Slim Adjustable Blade: Astra SP Brush: Chopped Made Rite Finest Badger Lather: Stirling Sharp Dressed Man Post: Maggard Razors Alum Balm: No.7 Calm Shave Results: I LOVE No.7 products. They make my face feel glorious. I am pretty sure I'm allergic to something in the Sharp Dressed Man. My lips are going numb and it's making me feel like Mary came to visit. I know I probably shouldn't use it, but I love how Stirling performs. I didn't pass out, so.. uh... maybe I'll just stay ignorant I have irritation on my neck, but the No.7 balm should take care of that. A great shave. I have to stay focused on my technique on my neck and I'll be golden.

Tuesday: Neutrogena Men Facial Wash Large Horsehair Barbershop Super Speed/Sharp day 2 Stirling Margaritas in the Arctic SS 444 AS Balm Barbon AS Aramis EdT Smooth as a little baby's tush, smelling great, and ready to go after a wonderful shave with my MITA soap. It gave me tons of thick and rich lather with an awesome menthol effect that the 444 balm and Barbon aftershave really magnified. I noticed that this Sharp blade seems to be a bit on the harsh side, however so I'll be watching it during the week and if necessary I'll make a change.

Tuesday: hot shower w/T&H Trafalgar bar soap ShaveSecret PSO Parker 80R 2+ passes Gillette 7 O'Clock SharpEdge (1) Semogue Owners Club badger D R Harris Windsor cream in a warm mug Thayers unscented w/aloe D R Harris Windsor AS Very nice shave today. My weekend shave had left me a little raw so yesterday I just did two light passes with a mild razor affording me healing and enough stubble for a shave today. Haven't used a 7 O'Clock Yellow in a very long time so I'm anxious to give it a run in the Parker. I've got several Gillette blades to eventually test in this razor and so far the Black Ninja and the SuperThin are the ones to beat. Of course considering how many razors are in my rotation and how many blades I have to test... Two pics today. I don't recall ever taking a pic midshave before but I was taken by the amount of lather as I pulled it up from the mug. My face isn't big enough for this Semogue. If I ever return to head shaving this will be the brush of choice.

The L&B is becoming one of my favorite soaps, for both the performance and the scent. The NEW SC and Med Prep are a great match for each other. What a GREAT shave!! I finished with Grey Flannel. Bob
SOTD June 17 Prep: hot shower Razor: Gillette slim twist Blade: Merkur Brush: Vie-Long Soap: Proraso green Passes: 3 (WTG, XTG, ATG) Post: Witch Hazel, 444 Well, I made at least one mistake with today's shave, ATG. As with ever ATG pass I've ever made, I didn't need it. As a matter of face I had a very nice DFS after pass two. But I got the DFS so easily, I didn't think the extra ATG would hurt... I was almost right. there was some pulling and resistance with the ATG pass, but no pink shaving cream... the irritation and sting only came with the cold water rinse and 444 AS balm. My lather was also off for today's shave, not enough water. I could tell from the start, but went ahead anyways. I figured I wasn't getting the desired menthol effect from the Proraso Green, maybe a dryer lather would help. The lather was cool to my face, but I don't think it was from the menthol. I ended up adding some water and getting a better later while still keeping the coolness. Again I don't believe this was the menthol so much as the temperature of the water. Either way it was a nice feeling. The 444 more then made up for my menthol cravings.
