    Pre: Shave Secret
    Brush: GBS Pure Badger
    Soap: Proraso Green & White
    Razor: ’72 Gillette Super Speed
    Blade: Gillette Wilkinson Sword(3)
    Splash: n/a
    Post: Nivea Sensitive AS Balm
After: Master Well bay Rum After Shave

Last shave on the Sword. Still felt very sharp and actually a bit smoother than the first two shaves with it. I’m tempted to try a 4th shave but eh.. The combo of the Proraso and the badger brush was very productive. Lots of rich lather. I don’t really get much scent wise from the Green & White but thats a minor thing. On the third round of working through my soap samples. Will be making final choices after this one.

    TUESDAY
Another excellent straight shave experience, much of which I credit to my improving technique both with the razor (albeit single-handed) and with using the strop.
My new Illinois #827 has really aided in my technique and the result are razors with considerably less tugging…:)
Now to brace myself for Day#2 of the VBS onslaught…

    Have a blessed Tuesday, everyone!

Patrick, prayers sent your way for your wife's successful surgery and rapid recovery. The PT afterwards can be the most trying, so I pray she does not get discouraged but remain positive and optimistic. Most patients I know who have had this surgery are surprised how quickly they adapt!

    Gillette New
    Treet Black Beauty
    SOC 2 Band
    RazoRock XXX
    Floid Blue

RazoRock as you'd expect performed beautifully. However the real shock for the shave was the Treet carbon steel blades, it was more smooth than any stainless blade I've used to date. I may order a few hundred of these based on how they perform in the next week or so, still have to try the new Rapiras first though

    Very Good stuff!!

As for a larger tube size, I don't know about that. I think because it is in such a small tube, I conserve it more and a larger tube might not necessarily last much longer. I'd still buy it if there was a larger size though!

Razor: Osgar 862 5/8 Full Hollow
Brush: Bullgoose Beehive w 24mm WD Silvertip
Bowl: Dirty Bird Dirty Travel Scuttle
    Pre Shave Soap: MRGLO Lime
Pre Shave Oil: Eucalyptus Peppermint Vanilla
Shave Cream: Irisch Moos (thanks Bruce)
    Post: Monster Alum Block
    Aftershave: Proraso White ASB
Sampled Irisch Moos for the first time and this is some great stuff. Hard to believe that they discontinued such a wonderful product. The Osgar was rough this morning. 50 laps on the both sides of the strop and still had some tugging.

Wishing your Mrs a speedy recovery Patrick! I know a lot of friends who have had knees replaced (and hips) and it is becoming a very successful surgery with great results afterwards. My Daughter had her hip replaced about a year ago and she was very glad she had it done. There is a recovery period and the key is stick with the PT to get the muscles aznd tendens back in shape.

This mornings shave was an odoriferous extravaganza of Arko and the Veg. (I just did this combo to mess with Kevin's head and olfactory sensibilities)
It was however a great shave and of course the Veg loves me. :D
