That's quite a fine-looking brush scuttle you have there, Ed! ("Thou shalt not covet...thou shalt not covet...")
I like it a lot. All natural and a little goes a long way. I also use Neutrogena Post shave balm but I like the Jack Black better.

Love it. I think I've found my one razor I can't live without and have just about shelved everything else.

Wait ... What?!? You buying soap??? I would have never guessed! We await your review of De Vergulde Hand.
The nice thing about this scuttle is the fact that it was made to look antique which really works well appearance wise with vintage equipment. Ed, enjoy!
Indeed! The effect is reminiscent to me of some of the wild psychedelic poster art from the 60's. Groovy! You've given me an idea for tomorrow's shave-of-the day shot!
Brad you went so far out you came back full circle. Well it seems like a theme might just hatch from this from some of the earlier comments...

Went out of town yesterday morning and just got back tonight so I'm a little late posting these. First up is yesterday. Thursday: Buddy Shave Two hot towels Maggard Lime PSO Gillette Mach III 3 passes Gillette Mach III (1) VDH boar Musgo Real Lime Basil cream Thayers unscented w/aloe T&H West Indian Limes AS balm T&H West Indian Limes cologne Before leaving town yesterday I went and shaved a buddy of mine who's recently come under Hospice care. He hadn't been shaved for awhile and his wife tried to get the job done with an electric but wasn't having any success so I told her I'd make an attempt. Since mine is the only face I've ever shaved before it was an interesting challenge but we made the best of it. I grabbed my old Mach III and sanitized it before popping in a fresh blade thinking the pivoting head would be easier to manage on someone else's face. I never realized how much of my skin stretching is me making faces so it was quite different to be leaning over a bed trying to shave someone else, stretch their skin, and not get water and shave cream all over the place. I'm definitely no barber but we got most of the whiskers off, didn't have any bloodletting, and no irritation. I really should have started with clippers since his beard was so long but neither of mine have been used in months so the batteries needed recharging. Tomorrow (Saturday) I plan to pay him another visit and we'll see if we can't get him completely cleaned up and get his moustache trimmed. Friday: (This one's mine) hot shower w/Old Spice scented body wash ShaveSecret PSO Parker 80R 2+ passes Gillette 7 O'Clock SharpEdge (3) VDH Deluxe boar Old Spice Original cream in a warm bowl Thayers unscented w/aloe Old Spice Original AS Wow, what a difference a water softener makes. Stayed at a nice bed and breakfast last night and even though my water at home is tolerable, it's still hard. I always thought this Old Spice shave cream was just so-so but it gave an excellent performance with soft water. I'm thinking with a water softener I might even be able to get my Provence Sante to make a decent lather. I also shaved with great confidence compared to shaves 1 and 2 with this blade. I have to believe in part that the soft water played a role since my skin and the lather both felt slicker than normal. It was a good day and a half respite and I scored a few items that I'll be posting in The Haul sometime this weekend. Yeah, I bought some more gear.
Solid DFS. The Razorock XXX is totally awesome. I got an effortless, abundant lather. It was slick, cushiony, smelled great, and stayed hydrated. Once again, the Krona proved why it was my favorite razor. When paired with a sharp blade, this razor is the one to beat. Myrsol F is probably my favorite of the Myrsols I have tried. It has such great skin toning abilities, has a great scent, and it's not overpowering.
