I spent 6 weeks in Kaisers rehab when I shattered my patella. No fun. But necessary.

Today has been the first time, since my diagnosis with CRPS, that I helped pull & replace a furnace with my dad. Of course it came in a day where my L4 & L5 disk were screaming :p still felt good to get my hands dirty though. Now time to go for a birthday dinner, help a cousin with some special fx for a movie, and tomorrow... break down 3 A coils, one furnace, and one condenser. Busy busy.

The final day of the 5-day long Vacation Bible School (VBS) came to a close today. Many long hours by staff and volunteers helped pull off a successful event where we hosted nearly 600 kids from ages 3 to 12 from the nearby communities. Many families were here for the first time and many had never been to 'a church' before. The weather was great (not too hot!) for outdoor activities (several large jumpy houses, slip n' slides, athletic games, etc.). Today concluded with much music and celebration, plus a big celebratory hot dog lunch for all kids and parents.
I'm absolutely whipped (and I can only imagine how the volunteer teachers and group leaders must feel!).

Final day 'Altar call' as over 130 kids came forward to give their lives to Christ. :angelic007: Quite the testimony how God works in the hearts of the young!

Picked up the materials last night to replace the decking on the small porch between house and the door yard. I figured it was time after I fell through it. I'll come back and post a b4 and after pic.

Just got a FedEx email notification that my Fitbit Aria scale arrived...so I will eat something really fatty/bad before I head home as my new life will be to track my weight on that darn thing.... :)

There is something I find incredibly satisfying making sawdust—especially when the result turns out well as your project did!
