Ah....I see. But what's that strange key top three left of the any key? My keyboard has a penguin there.
Quite an interesting visit to the 'Sounds Unique' store—sort of like a graveyard for older audio equipment. However, some of the stuff is in exceptional shape and pretty reasonable priced. Now I haven't had the High End Audio bug in a number of years, but I did recognize many of the pieces—and the prices were reasonable. Most of it was up-scale goods, which in their day, were at or near the top-of-the-line. The thing about much of this equipment was it was made to last or at least was worth repairing. Much of today's audio electronic components are disposable. I almost pulled the trigger on a nice cassette deck made by Nakamichi (Model 482z), which in 1982 had a retail price of $900. Built like a tank. He was asking $269 for it. My wife would not have been happy with me taking in a component for repair & returning with another—so I shelved the idea for the time being. I'll ask about the pencil when I'm ready to begin negotiations in earnest.
Well..it's official. As of this afternoon, I have neither class nor principals. I really did get a lovely send-off from my colleagues, so while I am ready to retire, there is some sadness at this parting.
Bored.... moved a lot of stuff today to my new house (job related move)... I move in there on Sunday, but stupidly sent my TV on ahead of me.
Today I am building a website for a small business and I'm going to meet the owner to get more details. Should be interesting
It will be interesting for sure. They will have no idea what they want but will crucify you for not being able to deliver it.
