Rich, it is actually a 'relish' not a true 'salsa'—according to SWMBO, but to me it is actually more like a pesto. Here it is—just the same. Easy to make. BTW: I subbed in walnuts for hazelnuts in our version as my wifey she no likey the hazels. Use pine nuts as well, or what ever nuts you like—except for beer nuts, wing nuts or lug nuts. from the Bon Appétit mag: Hazelnut (or walnut) Relish ingredients 1/2 cup blanched hazelnuts (or walnuts) 1 garlic clove, chopped 1 cup (packed) fresh cilantro leaves with tender stems 1/2 cup (packed) fresh flat-leaf parsley leaves with tender stems 1 tablespoon capers 1 teaspoon finely grated lemon zest 1/2 cup olive oil Kosher salt Preheat oven to 400°. Toast nuts on a rimmed baking sheet, tossing occasionally, until golden brown, 6-8 minutes. Let cool.Pulse garlic, cilantro, parsley, capers, lemon zest, and 1/4 cup nuts in a food processor until finely chopped. With machine running, gradually add olive oil; season relish with salt. Coarsely chop remaining nuts.Cook salmon; serve with relish (my abbreviated procedure….) It is very pesto-like, only without the basil….
Not very well. I have been dealing with my wife not being well. She had her knee surgery the 17th. She came home from Rehab on the 27th. Been dealing with her have fluid draining from her sinuses. The Home Health Care Nurse that came today was a real winner. She stood right in my living room and called our Family doctor ( who was on vacation, called the doctor on call) he didn't call back until almost four hours later. I just about let him have it. We needed an antibiotic or some thing. Any way the wife is still not getting any better coughing and just shy of vomiting. I just talked to the doctor on call, he took the time to call me back and see what was going on.
Thank you we are dealing with it. I don't know where they find these worthless nurses that hardly speak English.
Thanks, Kevin, that sounds awesome and I think, while I like hazelnuts, the walnut flavor will go better for me.
Must be something in the air b/c I had a lousy night's sleep last night as well. Tho, I did get more than 10 min worth. Well, here's to coffee!
I'm immune to caffeine I slept 5 hours and then Leif wanted to play around 5. I wore him out. Tickling, jumping, corn hole, horse shoes. Only two of those statements were true. He loves horse shoes.
I'm so damn irritated. I've been replacing a couple of pulleys, and a bolt stripped. I cannot get it out. It is irritating me horribly. Went to Autozone and my dad bought some sockets for stripped bolts and it won't take. $30.00 gone. I have a bottom and top & motor mount to put on and a valve cover gasket still. Ay yi yi yi SOS SOS SOS
Success! Well... at least on getting bolts off an alright start, maybe the rain won't halt us tomorrow.
