Went to Radio Shack yesterday. Picked up a sweet deal. They had a Jawbone Jambox marked down from $150 to $49.95 and I had $10 off coupon from a previous purchase! I was just informed that I have to draw a topo diagram of our Frankensteinian rat's nest of a network before a DPS audit tomorrow. Joy of joys.
It's only about 210 workstations; more than half of which are currently unplugged (so no auto-discovery). Nearly every classroom has at least one 5 or 8 port switch in it, if not 2. Then there's around 90 laptops--all wireless. How do you even draw those into a topo map?
thankfully, on closer review, I saw that I only had to draw the specific topo-path of one workstation. Much less daunting, but still a pain in the you-know-what.
Decided to work on my clutch on my 1997 F-150. Its been giving me fits. Did a little bleeding with help from my son and it still drives like it has 170,000 miles on it. But its paid for and has never made me walk too far.
I performed a bit of auto repair this past weekend with my son. New belt. Coincidentally, I did a little bleeding as well from my knuckles constantly hitting the engine block...
