I am enjoying this month so far. Easy to ignore temptation when I know i'm not alone! As per the original intent of NBJ, it is true that I do appreciate all the stuff I already have and truthfully, I really don't need ANY shaving supplies for the next….oh….2 or 3 years. Soaps? got more than I can use—just the 2 MdC pucks alone will last 2 years. Pre & postshave oils & balms? I make my own. Aftershave? I still have 6-8 bottles—plus enough of the Veg to last several lifetimes (1 bottle). Razor blades? Enough to last my until 2029. DE Razors? Own four that I use once a week, maybe (see my previous comment on blades). Straight razors? A dozen in rotation, with another 20+ waiting for a new life. Alum blocks? I have 3..and they last forever. Brushes? About a dozen, with 3 favorites. Any more and I'd have to hide them from SWMBO. So, sure, I'm tempted with all the new stuff out there—new scents of soaps, new razors, etc—but I realize necessity doesn't play any part in these wants; it is simply the desire for something else—which if one isn't careful, can never be satisfied.
Haha, true, not really sorry, but it actually kinda bugs me that I felt I wanted one for the collection as I actually don't have any use for one at all. Brace yourself, pictures are coming!
I haven't bought anything. Well technically I did because I payed for something after July but I bid on it days before...
Strong. Not even browsing eBay or any sites like that. Just kick'n back and enjoying it. Had a great shave today with my MMOC razor and some 3P croap
I've got a sore throat, but otherwise okay. As far as shaving goes, I'm doing good! Enjoying what I've got. I may not buy antyhing until 2016. Let's take a moment of silence to remember our fallen brethren...
smooth sailing no sales sites, no shopping cart mishaps, no killer one time only deal of the century. Friday was a little difficult driving past garage sales, what ifs set in. but I beat em back. just drove right by. they coulda had an inscribed deluxe model Gillette first edition gold plated silver lined one of a kind, sold by a direct descendant of King Gillette. but I wasn't tempted, because I didn't stop and look. what the eyes don't see, the heart don't desire except for water well you guys get the picture anyways. analogies only go so far. in good shape here
Without having to research this through pages of multiple threads... Are there any rules against doing a PIF only for the NBJ participants?
