LOL! If it ever comes available again, I'll have to give it a try. I hope to eventually go through his entire inventory.
Did anyone else notice the change in shipping on Stirling's site? It now reads ontop: "$5 Flat rate domestic shipping!" Not bad.
That's what I paid for shipping. Excellent deal, and if the soaps are anywhere close to the rep they have, I'll be using Stirling for as long as I can get it.
They'll be coming. I usually shave between 9 and 11pm. I'll post a mini review here, but I'm also thinking of a video review as well.
Went with MITA. Wonderful soap, in every way. Video review here. http://theshaveden.com/forums/threads/stirling-soaps-review-first-in-a-series.39242/
I guess the bath and shave soaps have a totally different fragrance? I have Sandalwood and Sharp Dressed Man bath soaps hoping to get the fragrance for the shave but the Sandalwood is very light and looks completely different than the picture on the previous page.
I only have experience with the shave soaps I've used. I do plan to try the SDM AS splash at a later date. FWIW, I loved the Sandalwood shave soap, but the scent is very mild on that one.
If you want a stronger smelling sandalwood shave soap, skip the Stirling. It's a really subtle scent. While the soap is quality, I'd suggest getting a different Stirling you like and get Sandalwood from some place else.
I really loved the sandalwood shave soap. The scent is there, but yes subtle. But that's kind of nice. And according to my girlfriend it lingers for a little bit. I would have liked it a bit stronger, but I still love it.
I think it's all in what you're looking for at the time. i like big, in your face scents. But I also like subtle as well. It depends on my mood, so I have a selection of both types.
That is also my preference. As for sample vs puck my vote is always puck. The base for the soap will be a great lather and I doubt I will hate the smell so the greater $/oz value wins me over every time.
