These soap sticks have been around for a long time, and I was lucky enough to receive a few of them as gifts last year. They lather in a jiffy, smell nice, and give great shaves and skincare. They're made in Germany, and sold all over Europe, and cost very little. I suggest them for anyone who is looking for a good quality shave stick, and doesn't want to blow a big bunch of cash. Jeff
Plain and simple - a very good shaving stick. The only thing this stick has against it is the scent, a bit too faint in my taste.. Otherwise its one of the good ol“ones.. Great Lather, good skincare and pretty protective..
Great stick. I picked a few of these up a while ago, they work very well, have a nice clean scent (same as the Euro palmolive cream), and excellent lather. If you are fond of shave sticks, this will be a very welcome addition to the collection. Loads of abundant lather can be whipped up with the Palmolive, and a close, yet protected shave is the end result. Bottom line: :happy088
This little gem is really really one of my favorites and it is so cheap you can't do anything wrong buying it.
A little on the pricey side, but it gave me a VERY enjoyable shave. I applied directly to my face and lathered. My razor simply glided over my face and I was able to get an almost BBS shave doing 2xWTG passes. No irritation at all. I enjoyed the clean scent quite a bit.
This is an under-appreciated gem in the shaving world. This shave stick is cheap and wonderful. You can spend a lot of money on a DR Harris shave stick, if that is your thing, but the Palmolive stick, as well as the Speick stick, gives you one of the best bangs for your buck. I take this when I travel, but I use it at home too. This stuff makes great slick lather, and it has a nice, pleasant scent. I can't describe the scent - maybe soapy and fresh, nothing spectacular. Don't buy it for the scent, but the scent will also not detract (as Arko may). For the price, it is foolish to not try this out.
This is a first-class shave-stick and, as the Physician's noted above, if you haven't tried it you're missing out. It has a clean, fresh and decidedly pleasant scent to it. I favor more strongly scented products, so it loses points here, though that's obviously a very subjective issue. Tallow-based...Personally I don't see what the tallow hype is all about; tallow or palm, they're both saponified oil. Trumper's SSs and l'Occitane's are palm-based and near-perfect. All in all, an amazing stick - which I'll use tomorrow.
Great shaving stick Im in love with shaving sticks and Palmolive just reinforces that love to them. Its a great tallow based stick, provides a thick rich lather, the scent is fresh and nice and its very protective. What else do you want?Well if you like in UK is cheap so its almost perfect. One of my favorites with La Toja stick.
Great shave stick These sticks make a superb protective lather. I also like the clean soap smell. Highly recommended.
Fantastic stick These sticks are widely available in the UK and at less than 50p are fantastic value for money. The quality of the soap is superb, it produces a lather that rivals the most expensive soaps. Nice scent too, only I wish it was a bit stronger. If you get a chance to try this, don't hesitate.
Another mainstay in my rotation, one I'll never be without unless they stop making it. Nice, easy, pleasant scent. Makes a very nice and rich lather too. One of my favs.. and the price is cheap, even though I have to import it. I grate the stick with a cheese grater and then fill and press the slivers into an empty twist-to-raise container (like a deodorant container where you twist the wheel on the bottom to raise the product). With a wet face I run the stick all over my face. Then take my wet brush and work that nice lather up. When I'm done, my skin feels good and I've got a great shave.
This is a must! This stick is a must if you agree with the scent. Great lather, that gives really nice glide, very close and comfortable shave. My go to stick when I travel. Every time I use it I want to buy an extra one...
Another HUGE fan! There's really nothing I can add to the positive feed back above that wouldn't be redundant other than, IMO, this is one of the best, right up there with Arko, Irish Moos, and Tabac. I've used Palmolive, Arko, Irish Moos, Tabac, and Erasmic. ALL of them have been very very good by the way and I would recommend them all. Still on the list to try are are Speick Stick (I have but not yet tried), Valobra and Wilkinson (both on order). -Moe
I have to agree this Palmolive shaving stick is really good stuff, and its sooo cheap here its 0.50 pence (78c) over here in our Asda stores your Walmart, and a stick lasts ages.
i have been using some more expensive soaps for the past half year and the palmolive stick was shoved in the back of the drawer and didnt get any attention...today i decided to try it again after being away from it for so long....its great! now i remember why i have it. really slippery lather...nice clean scent too. i even like the greenish color of the soap itself (lather is white though). overall if you havent tried this cheap soap stick....you need to give it a shot.
I agree, Palmolive and Arko at at the top in my list. Both easy to find on Ebay or Amazon. If you don't like the scent you can air them out.
