No, I have way too many creams already. I might one day as I hear it's good stuff. I do put Maca root in my smoothies though. Keeps me handsome and virile.

 

I just thought I would share my progress woth you guys. Since failing miserably and buying something after just two days I have kept to the spirit of No But July. I haven't bought a single thing, it feels like ages ( well i am 2 days behind you fine gents) but I have been the picture of self control, I am determined to see out the month without caving in again. As I said I am the picture of self control, I will not waver, I will stay true to the cause, nothing will stop, nothing will.... oh, gotta go, I need to put in a bid on a razor before the auction ends.

And Sandalwood Smoke, Gunpowder Spice and Mountain Man scents, too. I wonder what they are like?

Perhaps my participation in No Buy July is a little disingenuous. In not buying anything during July, I merely committed to doing what I would have done anyway.

My birthday is in August, so I will be getting myself some gifts

 

I'm still here. Being out in the field with limited Internet helps. I do have poison ivy worse than I have ever had it before.

I hear the shave den lanolin shaving soap is very good!

 

I've heard that too. Lanolin is no go for me though. Allergic to wool and lanolin. No Bueno!!

 

Damn. That sucks. I have not tried anything with lanolin. I would love to try JoAnnas soap, but I found it a bit expensive with shipping

 

Out of curiosity, does this mean you have to be careful with which tallow soaps you use, also? I know some Stirling soaps list sheep tallow, for example.

Could be something to keep in mind with PIFs and such.

Yeah, it's something I keep in mind quite a bit with soaps and every other product I use. That's actually one of the reasons I like Stirling, they're pretty open about something being sheep, and I avoid those. It's also one of the reasons I'm more of a fan of creams, because creams usually get all giddy and advertise IT'S GOT LANOLIN!!! which to some is a selling point, but to me a warning label. I usually don't use soap from a PIF unless it's new and I've checked it out. If it's part of a bigger PIF, I end up PIFfing it along.

 

NOTE: I am still here, but the NBJ pic kept confusing me.

OK. Look for the review sometime around mid-2015. I won't be buying any soap until next year.

 

Thank God no. Baby wipes are your best friend in the field. But some retarded higher up made us set up camp in a huge poison ivy grove.
