Happy to see so many surviving participants - and also some potential, perceived differences coming out of all of this Now lets finish strong
4 days to go gentlemen. And now that I think about it, I might not buy anything else the rest of the year, aside from some Feathers to try out. I plan on trying out the crystals again as well.
One thing in my radar; got enough soaps, creams and blades for at least a couple years. Will be needing a bottle of Lucky Tiger AS in a couple months. That's it. Dave
Still going strong. Being out in the field has been a blessing in disguise. But as soon as Aug. 1st rolls around, I'm getting a bunch of Gem Stainless blades.
I still have a lot of soaps, creams and razors I want to try. But I have learned that it's better to concentrate on what I have. I don't need to own the soaps I want to try all at once. We have a lot time to try new stuff, the beard doesn't stop growing =)
I almost didn't make it. I saw the Thater I wanted for a good price but fortunately someone was quicker than I was and bought it. I'll buy one from a vendor in August.
I am feeling no angst about August. I'm sure I'll buy more stuff but I'm not jonesing. I'm going to start looking for some sort of retro display for the gear I've already got. Now if a bargain falls in my lap... An old single/double ring or a fat boy.
Well, I have to admit it. I didn't make the no-buy-in-july. I actually thought I had sailed through it without any issues. the problem is that I get paid only once a month. When no-buy-july came up, it was just after I had gotten my June paycheck. When I got my July paycheck, I went out and acquired a single edge razor because I thought of July being over because I had August's money. So, I did not make it, but I did in intent.
I have been completely without Injector blades. My I type was mopping the floor with all my SEs except for the Ever Ready 1924. It gave me a chance to revisit them all.
If you guys don't mind I'll be posting a very short poll/survey 2-3 questions once we're in August to try and get a sense of if this "experiment" had any non-montetary benefits
