    Prep: Warm shower, Cetaphil Lotion
Razor: EJ DE89 Head w/ Weber Classic Handle
    Blade: Personna Lab Blue (2)
    Lather: Arko Shaving Soap
    Brush: Oscar11 w/ Omega 20248 Knot
    Post: Witch Hazel, Cetaphil Lotion
    Aftershave: Old Spice

Same setup as yesterday except for the soap. Arko is a terrific soap. I find it amazing that it is so inexpensive, and yet we all pay more for expensive soaps that aren't any better. I'm guilty of that and will continue to do so, but I will always keep Arko in the rotation.

    Have a great day!

    Thursday Noon Shave
    Razor:
    Edwin Jagger DE8911
Blade: Kronosharp Stainless Steel NOS 1991 (1)
    Brush: Isana Men Pure Badger
    Soap: Proraso Green
    AS: Barbasol Brisk

Although it was a quick 10 min shave, it was a very successful shave after all. Kronosharp is a sharp blade like it's name refers. No nicks or weepers. 1 pass was enough for a CCS.

    Thursday morning -

Prep - Noxzema & hot towel
Lather - Cella Extra Extra Purissima & suribachi
    Brush - Omega 40033
Razor - Gillette Single Ring & Garland "Improved Eagle"
    Blade - Feather (9)

    2 pass
Warm water rinse & cold water splash
    Alum block & Witch-hazel AS

Today's shave was my first time with a straight of any ilk and it was a fine shave indeed. I just did a single pass with the straight on each cheek and finished up with the Single Ring, but a great shave nonetheless.

    SOTD August 7 - Straight Razor-a-thon

    Vacation shave

    Prep: hot towel
Razor: G. Wostenholm and Son Celebrated I-XL
    Brush: Vie-Long
    Cream: Proraso blue
    Passes: 2 (WTG, XTG)
    Post: Alum

Hot towel shaves tend to not be my best shaves, today was unfortunately a typical hot towel shave.
It started out good, but there was a lot of irritation with the second pass. The alum reinforced the amount of irritation. Better luck next time.

    Prep: CeraVe cleanser
    Soap: Prairie Creations unscented
    Brush: Plisson synthetic
    Razor: iKon ShaveCraft
    Blade: Super Iridium
    After: Cold rinse, CeraVe

The Prairie Creations soap makes a good moisturizing lather: comfortable shave and my face feels good.

I'm extremely surprised by how good this cartridge razor is. It puts many traditional safety razors to shame... It won't be replacing my SEs though... A nice addition though.

Nothing compares to MdC. 10 swirls on the jar enough for 3passes. Incredible skin care. Beautiful scent.

One pass DFS. I am finding it hard to go back to my DE's. This 1924 is just too effective. I also froze my face off with some awesome stuff. It's perfect for this Florida heat.
