This was the first injector shave I've had in two years. I didn't get too crazy with it. One pass plus a touch up got me a DFS. The Palmolive stick is one of the best soaps out there. It's a top 5 soap for me. The lather, slickness, cushion, and skincare are all really good. And it's also cheap. Myrsol Formula F is probably my favorite of the Myrsols. It smells great and leaves my skin feeling refreshed and toned.
you are correct I was in a hurry and wanted close and quick. this combo fits the bill. but can bite if ignored. I do liked the hammer though.

Cold Water Shave Dove Men's Face Wash TOBS Lavender Shaving Cream Semogue 1305 Boar Brush Eversharp I2 Hydro-Magic Schick Stainless CWR Thayers Rose Petal WH Pinaud Clubman AS Today's shave was done completely with cold water. The TOBS Lavender Shaving Cream face-lathered very easily with my Semogue 1305 Boar brush. Two passes with my Schick Eversharp I2 Hydro-Magic and a Schick Stainless blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, alum block, and cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayers Rose Petal WH and then Pinaud Clubman after shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed... What a nice shave!
I'm very much inclined to agree with you, my friend. Now, here's my shaving plan for tomorrow morning. Saturday: Since it's going to be a very warm day here in Montreal I'll use, Gatsby Ice Cooling Gel Facial Wash Large Horsehair Barbershop Super Speed/Rapira day 6 Stirling Glacial Wintergreen SS Anherb AS Conditioner Osage Rub AS Chabrawichi 555 Cologne Here's a set-up which I guarantee will prevent any sweating because each item is as cold as hell. The Gatsby facial wash is almost a face-freezer by itself, the Glacial Wintergreen soap is from the COLDEST menthol family on this planet, and the Anherb conditioner is pretty darned cold as well as moisturizing, and finally the good old Rubby Dubby Doo which can freeze like Siberia in January.

NOS 1991 (2) Brush: Vie-Long White Horse Hair Soap: Derby AS: Barbon It was a fascinating BBS for me It was my first time with Barbon after shave. I liked it a lot like other menthol based after shaves. The scent of it is quite nice, too.
Shave of the day Pre- Hot shower + homemade PSO and corn huskers (on chin between first and second pass) Soap/cream- Palmolive shave stick, grated into a bowl. Brush- Plisson synthetic Razor- Mühle R89 Blade- Astra SP(2) Post- Cold water rinse, Old spice whitewater and Nivea ASB 1 day growth removed with 3 pass shave. 2 WTG and 1 XTG. I got a really creamy, thick and dense lather. First time I succeed in getting a lather this good. This soap has been underrated by me for too long. I got a little nick but it went away with the cold water splash. Great finish with whitewater and nivea balm. I'm getting much better shaves now, my technique is improving and I'm getting a closer shave on my chin, buffing and reapplying preshave are working pretty good. I'm getting cocky changing soaps and creams often, but maybe I need to slow down and not change stuff to frequently =P BUT HEY IM HAVING FUN!

SATURDAY Early morning shave on a Saturday. I used the big FR frame back for a leisurely 3-pass shave. After reading Kerry's recent reviews on it, I had to break out the MdC Fougére again and pamper myself. Bay Rum from Ogallala finish. Great shaves like this almost make it worthwhile to rise early on a Saturday. Almost….. Have a blessed day ,all!
