    Razor: Schick Hydro 3
    Brush: Muhle Black Fiber
    Lather: Dr. Dittmar

My cartridge experiment continues. They leave my chin very smooth ATG but still can not get as close a shave overall with them as an SE. I probably need more pressure.

Produced from 1953 - 1956, the Diplomat, and is twin, the President, are fantastic shavers. The difference between the two is the Diplomat is gold plated, the President is Rhodium plated. (1955 Diplomat shown)

One of my favorite shaves, I use it as my Sunday - go-to - meet'n ' razor. [IMG]

    Frog straight 1 pass
    SchickGrip 2 passes
    Schick (4)
    VDH Deluxe boar
LASS Topanga Fougere soap (sample) in a warm mug - great scent, I just need to learn how to lather it properly

More things to do on a Sunday morning than I have time for.
    I want to sleep in.
I want to have an extra cup of coffee.
I want to read the Sunday paper.
I want to take a long leisurely shower.
I want to shave with a straight razor.
I want to be on time for church.
I want to go out for breakfast.

I shouldn't have shaved this morning. I usually don't on Sunday mornings so I can shave Sunday night for Monday. But I did, and I'm regretting it. I'd nicked myself the other day in a precarious spot, right where the lip and upper lip meet in that little edge. Impossible to stop the bleeding accept by scab. Reopened it while shaving this morning.

    Razor: Gem Featherweight
    Blade: Gem SS
    Cream: TOBS Eton College
    Brush: VDH Boar
    Aftershave: Pinaud Clubman

An enjoyable shave if it wasn't for reopening the wound! Waiting to heal so I can leave home without looking like a knife fighting vagabond.

    today's shave
    hot shower prep
    Parker pure badger
    Cella
    ER1924
    Gillette super speed b2
    cvs persona(2)
    persona lab(4)
witch hazel generic with tea tree oil
    Florida water
    grey flannel
today's shave was wild. I was inspired to use my er single edge.I got the same issue,I made it half way through the first pass. then the tugging and pulling started. I brought out the super speed to rescue the shave. I ended up with a very close four pass shave. I finished with witch hazel and Florida water. I'll have to try some stainless se blades.
    hope y'all had a blessed Sunday. 20140810_093334.jpg

The President has a Rhodium plated handle and and Nickel plated head, while the Executive is all Rhodium.

All three are great shaving razors and have the same head geometry but the Executive had a more knurled handle. I have the President and you can tell the difference between the head and the handle. When they are in great shape the difference is minimal but still easily detectable.

Both can be seen in the thread below.

I have had three shaves under my belt with the 94R and the Big Ben Blade. So far I like it with that blade. Other blades will have to be used later to shore up my first impression.

The handle is what drove me to the purchase. It is really grippy and looks great. What was the questionable issue is always the Parker heads and surprisingly this time a got what appears to be a really good one with tight tolerances. It is slightly shorter than a Fat Boy and slightly heavier since the handle is solid brass. So it was a nice surprise to get a fully usable and great looking Parker 3 Piece straight out of the box.

Try growing a mustache for a week, or even two or three days.

This time I used my puck of Colgate Cup soap. This shave wasn't very enjoyable.

The first pass was good, but the second pass was a nightmare on my neck. I got one nick and quite a but of redness. I don't know if it was the Injector blade, or the lather. It might be both.

My skin feels kind of dried out. I will be taking a few days off to heal up.
