I used the Omega 64 boar brush all last week. It performed well and is a keeper, but it did not generate as much rich lather as fast as the Vulfix 404 (Mixed Badger/Boar) or the 2235 (Best Badger). I keep getting brushes hoping to equal or best the Vulfix's, but so far they reign.

My first injector shave! Loved it! Close smooth shave. Very forgiving razor. Craftsman Unscented was a bit tough to get a nice lather, until I used a lot of water.
    Go out and get it!

Another magnificent face-freezing shave today with a great cream which I love so much. Although the Godrej Menthol Mist is much less potent than a Glacial soap, it's still very cold and it gives fabulous lather with just a small dab on both cheeks. The Anherb conditioner delivered plenty of extra cooling with its awesome moisturizing and soothing power and the Rubby Dubby Doo froze my face off altogether! ;) :D

    Tyr's Day:

Prep: Hot compress, Healthy Accents Daily Renewal facial cleanser, TSD Jasmine Sambac preshave balm
    Brush: Simpson 56 Best Badger
    Soap: Ginger's Garden Grapefruit Mint
    Razor: Merkur 41c 1904 OC
    Blade: Big Ben SS (3)
    Passes: WTG, XTG (6, 7)
Post: Cold water splash, Bloc Osma Alum, Dickinson's WH, Aqua Velva Ice Blue AS splash
    Cologne: Burberry Brit by Burberry

Another day, another chilly shave. The Grapefruit Mint glycerin-in-a-jar doesn't quite have the freezing power of the Menthol Snow, but it's cold enough to notice the cool, and the lather it produces is similarly very good, if slightly less so than the Menthol Snow puck I have. The Big Ben is starting to show some wear and tear, having produced a slight weeper on my upper lip, but otherwise I got a DFS out of the process.

    Vacation shave

    Prep: hot shower
Razor: G. Wostenholm and Son CANUCK I.XL
    Brush: Vie-Long
    Soap: Proraso Green
    Passes: 2 (WTG, XTG)
    Post: Dove men hydrate+

Another great straight razor shaver this morning, and still with time to catch the bus if I was going to work. The shave didn't fee rushed either, and although I did think about adding a third pass it wasn't needed. The CANUCK provided an irritation free DFS with my standard two pass shave.

Great line up today, starting with Proraso Blue Cream! Effortless, thick, cushioning lather with just a touch of menthol. The Red Tip and Platinum are still shining together as usual. Great smooth, close, nick free shave. I finished with Speick..

Seeing as I don't notice any menthol from Proraso Green I'm not surprised I haven't noticed it the the Blue, but I'll have to pay attention the next time I use it.

I afraid that after all the -40 degree winters I've grown up with my face is immune to all but the strongest of menthol effects....

    Prep: Warm shower, Cetaphil Lotion
Razor: Gem Junior, EJ DE89 w/ Weber Classic Handle
Blade: CVS Single Edge (3), Personna Blue Lab
    Lather: Williams Mug Shaving Soap
    Brush: Oscar11 w/ Omega 20248 Knot
    Post: Witch Hazel, Cetaphil Lotion
    Aftershave: Old Spice

I found out the hard way that this CVS blade is not good for more than 2 shaves. This is only my 3rd shave with a SE razor, so I thought maybe the problem I was having was just due to technique. As I started my 3rd pass, however, it became painfully obvious (pun intended) that the blade was the problem. Needing to finish up in a hurry so I could get to work, I grabbed my trusty EJ DE89, dropped in a Personna blade, and finished up. I finished with a DFS shave, but I'm going to pick up some Gem Stainless Steel blades, as recommended by @fram773.

    Have a great day!

    TUEzDAY
    Back to Work…

A bit o' the M-Bomb (six drops) added that refreshing chill to the MdC Fougére this morning, resulting in a lather that not only smells great, but tingles throughout the shave.
Three-pass with the Griffon 6/8, a razor that I plan on keeping in my weekly rotation of SRs. Great shave! :happy088:

    Have a blessed Toozday, all!

    Slow Joe Relishing his obsession

Birthday shave today, so used lots of new fun stuff :)

    Razor - Pils DE
    blade - Gillette Silver Blue
    Lather - Trumper's Eucris soap
Aftershave - Pinaud clubman's special reserve

The Trumpers soap was really hard to lather, I can lather Trumpers sandalwood but I couldn't get this to work, but it smells fantastic! Need to practice with it.
The pils is fantastic, a real heavy razor that just glides gently across the face, I have never had a favourite razor before but I think this could be it. Clubmans is a really nice aftershave with a very masculine scent. Really love it. Still a great shave despite the lather problems :)
