MITA is my favorite Stirling soap. For me, it has just the right balance of Menthol. The Glacial's have a bit too much menthol for me. I pulled out my #2 favorite Stirling this morning, Ozark Mountain. It is always a winner. Great shave, great scent. ......and this was my 6th shave using the same Gillette Platinum blade in my Red Tip.
Martin-It is a great citrus "Margarita" scent. It is not overpowering though. I usually match it with Krampert's Frostbite.
My disability lies in that I've never smelled a Margarita Good thing it's not overpowering, I plan on using it everyday.
I agree w/ Bob. The MITA has a great scent. Almost reminds me of some kind of ice cream every time I smell. Or maybe lime sherbert. Anyway, it is agreat soap.
Not yet, and with the announced move, I decided that asking for a custom scent - or a scent not currently in Rod's listing, at any rate - was probably not particularly productive. I'll try out the products I ordered, and assuming I like them as well as the majority seem to, my next order there will include some jasmine. Thanks for asking.
Why? Your order was placed on the 13th. The notice of delay pertains to those orders placed after the 14th of August.
I used the Black Ice again this morning and it lathered great for me. The menthol power is at around the same level as Proraso Green which is very pleasant.
Thanks for posting the announcement. I'd planned on ordering a couple full pucks from them this weekend. Not that I need them, of course! I guess I'll wait. Interesting, I thought my sample puck of it was quite a bit more mentholy. Maybe I need to kick up to Glacial levels when I order again...
Ah, you should try the Glacial Obsidian which also has a black licorice scent and a MUCH stronger menthol sensation. This stuff will make your eyes cry tears of frozen joy!
Yeah, that's what I was thinking. Glacial Obsidian and Glacial Lemon are what I'll be ordering after they get settled, I think.
