Cool! I'm really glad you like them. Maybe I should get HEGA for myself hahaha. Did you smell the scent of it this time?
SOTD August 16 - Straight Razor-a-thon Prep: hot shower Razor: G. Wostenholm and Son Celebrated I.XL Brush: Vie-Long Soap: Proraso White Passes: 2 (WTG, XTG) Post: Alum, Arko Extra Sensitive Today ends my Razor-a-thon. Nearly two weeks of consistent straight razor use. It was a worthwhile experience, and hopefully not a rare one. I managed to keep the lather "wetter" today and had less issues with tugging. I still think these edges need to see more the a strop in the close future... DFS with some stubborn spots on my neck.

St. James cream is an interesting product. Smells great, makes a slick and shiny lather with very little effort and takes very little to get the job done. The large jar may last for several months.
13/16 Prior Cold River Barbershop homebrush with a Jagger knot I received this knot as a freebie from the vendor where I buy my boar brushes. The handle was broken and he said see what you can do with it. I'm sure it's a pure and surprisingly I really liked the hair. It kinda looks like a dead raccoon but it's performance was great. I liked everything about it. Have a good one.

I am looking for a Naniwa 12k and lapping stone (DMT 325). I've found them, but would like to order both from the same vendor, and in Canada for shipping costs... also debating a pasted strop of a less expensive option, or send them out.

SOTD Saturday 8-16-2014 Maggard MR3 w/Crystal PC Ddc Barbershop SS Georgetown Scuttle Semogue 820 Boar Dickinson's Witch Hazel Gold Bond Moisturing Lotion Draggon Noir EDT Picked up a bottle of the Draggon Noir at the Army/Navy Store. I haven't had any of this stuff for a long long time. It's a great smelling AS with great staying power. The little MR3 is great; close clean and comfortable shave this morning and the Draggon Noir is a welcome finisher!
I have also changed to cold water shaving so far so good I get less irritation on my neck for some reason and still get DFS ...happy happy happy.
That's cool. I was actually almost afraid to switch. Now, I don't have to wait for hot water, I use less water, and I also am experiencing less irritation. Shaves seem to be smoother and closer. Go figure. YMMV

When I first put it on I said... pfft... this isn't cold. Then it hit me like a ton of ice cubes. It numbed my face. I should have changed my blade.... my face was to numb for me to realize that my blade was dull! The aftershave soothed my face like no other and SWMBO loves the smell. My face was going to be irritated as hell but the AS saved it. A great shaving experience, not a wonderful shave.
