Got some work done this weekend! Picked up a pair of 6 gallon plastic (PET) carboys, racked my Lager into my new container so it can sit there and clarify for a couple of weeks, and pitched the yeast on a new Red Ale yesterday (This pic was this morning, hence the large amount of Krausen). I should be able to bottle the lager before I go on ex in September and I'll leave the Ale racked until I come home.
The ABV for the Lager is around 6%; Red Ale, I won't have any idea for another 2 weeks or so, OG started out at 1050 though so should end up around 5.5-ish.
My wife wondered if we had to climb that. Turns out we needed to climb this: Shortly after this, we all started falling down (except for my wife who is smarter than the men in her life) and the hike was cut short. Here is a knee selfie!
Patrick, No one hurt more than a few bumps and bruises - mostly me. She is way smarter and just stood back and watched our sons and I fall down on the slick rocks.
Holy Carp! I need some of Neo's beer right now! Heebie jeebies first thing in the morning. "Thanks," Dapper!
They're vital to the ecosystem. I've only killed two this year. One was because it was a brown recluse on my shoulder and the other was literally following Leif while he was crawling.
