Prep: warm wash Stirling Naked & Smooth
    Lather: SCS sample
    Brush: Vie-Long 13061M
    Razor: Gillette New SC
    Blade: Persona Super (5)

I'm not convinced that cold water shaving is "all that". I don't get irritation either way with warm or cold, but soaps and creams work much better for me with warm water. Today's shave was 3 passes and ready to go. The SCS sample keeps on ticking, thought it would be used up today, but looks like it will go through Thursday.

    Prep: hot shower
    Razor: WW2 Gillette Tech
    Blade: Bolzano Superinox (day 2)
    Brush: Vie-Long
    Soap: Proraso Green
    Passes: 2 (WTG, XTG)
    Post: Proraso Blue AS lotion

Another great shave from the Bolzano! My jaw line could have used some touch up so I'm calling this one a DFS. As always a fast, easy lather from the Proraso.

    Prep: Warm shower, Cetaphil Lotion
    Razor: Schick Injector E2
    Blade: EMS (1)
    Lather: TOBS Jermyn St.
    Brush: Oscar11 w/ Omega 20248 Knot
    Post: Witch Hazel, Cetaphil Lotion
    Aftershave: Old Spice

This was my first ever shave with an injector. I was really looking forward to it, but I'm a little disappointed. I don't know if my problem is the blade, blade angle, too much pressure, etc. The razor is so light compared to the DE that I'm used to using and I'm afraid I was using too much pressure. I started out with no pressure and it just didn't seem to be doing much of anything, so I added some pressure. It may have been too much. I didn't have any nicks or cuts, but I do have some irritation. Also, the shave is not quite as close as I'm used to getting with my DE. It's still very acceptable; just not what I was hoping for.

    Have a great day!

    WEDNESDAY
    Back to Work Day
Super-cool mentholated shave this morning as I added 2x the normal M-Bomb to the IK soap lather…by accident. You know you've gone too far when you eyes and nose are stinging from the lather! :smiley freezing:
Still managed a great 3-pass shave, despite the über-chill, from the Henckel Blue Steel.

    Have a blessed Wednesday, all!

No shave for me today, thanks to my cat getting startled at [whatever] and clawing my face.

Prep: Hot shower with L'Oreal Men Expert Facial Wash, home made PSO
Razor: Gillette Aristocrat (3), Dubl Duck Goldedge straight razor
    Blade: Astra SP (8)
    Brush: Turkish #6
    Soap: Mitchell's Wool Fat
After: Home made ASB, Aqua Velva Musk after shave
Cologne: Prada - Amber Pour Homme

I did a "one pass and done" this morning for a Darn Fine Shave. I took my time this morning and had no problems. The MWF lets me get close while protecting my skin. This Astra SP blade just keeps going. I am going to see how long that it lasts.

    Have a blessed day!!

So is this one-pass with the Aristo and one with the DD? Or 1/2 pass with the DE & 1/2 pass with the straight? 3/4 Gillette & 1/4 Goldedge? :D

Prep: soak brush, wash with CeraVe cleanser
    Soap: Petal Pusher Fancies "Scentsless"
Brush: Bethlehem olive wood with TGN F2
    Razor: Feather AS-D2
    Blade: Super Iridium
    After: Cold rinse, CeraVe lotion

I finally got my lather right with this badger brush today. I gave the brush a gentle squeeze to get rid of much of the water it was holding before loading up on the PPF soap, then I lathered on my wet face.

Comfortable close shave from the Feather with a Super Iridium blade.

Pre Shave Oil: Jasmine Orange Vanilla
    Shave Soap: IanS Cinnamon Girl
    Post: Monster Alum Block
Aftershave: Krampert's Acadian Spice Bay Rum

Yesterday Catie's Bubbles Le Piment de la Vie and today IanS Shave Soaps Cinnamon Girl were first time using soaps from either Artisian and trying out a spiced soap. I really like the spiced aroma from both with Catie's being a mellow spice aroma where as Cinnamon Girl is heavier and a little spicier. Easy of lather goes to Catie as CG is a thirty soap but both produced enough slick but yogurt like lather for a four pass shave though I only needed two. Post shave feel I would have to give to Cinnamon Girl this time around but it was very close and I did use different equipment and changed up my preshave routine a little. Both of these I will keep in my rotation and look forward to giving the other soaps that I have from both Artisian a turn in the gate.

    Tiki Fougere SS (Thanks Guy)
    Georgetown Scuttle
    Lijun Finest Badger
    Dickinson's Witch Hazel
    Gold Bond Moisturiing Lotion
    Draggon Noir EDT

One of the best shaving DE razors around is the 15C. A clean simple design that looks great and shaves without any drama. It is a solid handle copy of the classic Gillette single ring only milder. If you are thinking of entering into the Open Comb shaving world this would be a great entry.
The Tiki Fougere SS is not only a great performer, it's scent is delightful! The last time I was using it my SWMBO walked by and said "I really like that scent is that the soap?" For her to notice is extraordinary! She never comments (at least positively) on any of my shaving gear! The Draggon Noir is wonderful stuff and I have really missed not having any on hand for a long time. If you get a chance to try it, you will be pleasantly surprised. ;)
