It was 37 celsius degree yesterday. It must be much higher under the sun. I'll buy spr 50 next time. Spr 30 was quite enough for me till yesterday, but I saw that it's not any more.

I definitely need to start using my other stuff as well so it doesn't go to waste, so this morning I selected my Williams Menthol cream. It gave me great lather and does it ever smell nice with a very good cooling effect. The Skin Bracer is one of my favourite aftershaves - it's really chilly and the scent is so old-school and nice. The Rapira blade needs to be replaced, but it shaved me really close and comfortable. ;) :D

    Sunday:

Prep: Hot shower, Healthy Accents Daily Renewal cleanser, TSD Jasmine Sambac preshave balm
    Brush: Simpson 56 Best Badger
    Croap: RazoRock Cumba Cheech
    Razor: Merkur 41c 1904 OC
    Blade: Asco SS: Red (1)
    Passes: WTG, XTG (1, 2)
Post: Cold water splash, Bloc Osma Alum, Dickinson's WH, RazoRock Cumba Cheech AS lotion
Cologne: Jasmin et Cigarette by Etat Libre d' Orange

I decided that the Bic had seen enough use, and loaded up the Asco this AM. Lather and general prep seemed to go much better this morning than yesterday, but I could definitely feel the difference between the coated chrome platinum of the Bic and the stainless steel of the Asco, as the latter produces more tugging in one day than the former had in four. Still, I got a DFS without any nicks, and the Bloc Osma highlighted no tender spots and produced no sting. The scent of these products is also really nice.

SOTD - Saturday and Sunday - same setup

    Prep: Hot shower

    Razor: Gillette New SC
    Blade: Persona Super
Post: Cold water rinse and CC Bay Rum

I may have mentioned that it is Colorado State Fair time. My FFA chapter runs the Children's Barnyard so I get to enjoy the fairgrounds for not only the 10 days of the fair, but for a week before with set-up and about 2 days after with setup. I really enjoy the chance to get to know my students better during this time, but there is very little time for anything but the fair. I'll have rushed shaves until after Labor Day.

Ironically, it was only after about 6 months of DE shaving that I actually settled in enough to practice the 30 day rule as suggested by @GDCarrington I've settled in quite nicely with the Gillette New SC as my razor and the V-L horsehair brush as my brush. I've tried to use a soap up instead of switching between and I am getting better results with each soap. I am working through a TSD blade sampler, so am switching brands after 3 blades. All in all I think I am almost figuring some of this stuff out.

    Sunday

Prep: Hot Shower-Stirling Cocoa Butter Bath Soap
Soap: Cold River Soap Works-"Classic" Savon #1
    Razor: Gillette NEW Short Comb
    Blade: Gillette Silver Blue (2)
    Brush: Plisson Lucite #12-22mmx56mm
    Aftershave: Fine Platinum

WTG-XTG-ATG (adjusted angles for my beard)

I tried my CRSW sample of the "Classic" Savon #1 today. I loaded my brush for 30 seconds and had plenty of great smelling lather for 3+ passes. Along with the Gillette Silver Blue and the NEW SC, I got an excellent smooth, close, and nick free shave. I finished with Fine Platinum.

A great shave to kick off what should be a great day! It’s a great day to be alive. God is good!

As I was perusing my collection of soaps and samples, thinking about what to use today I started thinking. I choose my soaps daily based mainly on two things. What I like & what I think you guys would like to hear about. So I wanted to use something I hadn’t reviewed in a while...

Big post today! Get the rest at That Shave Life! More pics!:happy108:

    today
today's shave was a pinch hitter ordeal. I started the lather with my Kent silvertex,I thought the dog does a better on soap, so I benched the Kent and pulled up the dog. first pass with the lab, it felt dull. so it got pulled,I called up a sword. the improved line-up proved to be a winner. finished with skin Bracer, topped off with legend. im ready to go to church.

    Menthol Sunday
I woke up warm, so I went with team menthol. FrostByte soap is a top three product for me. I love the skincare from tea tree oil, and it's gloriously cold. My eyes watered by the third pass, but my skin feels smooth. The Krampert's is a favorite splash with frankincense providing skin care and a pine like scent. The FrostByte lotion was not really needed, but I just wanted to top off the cold care.

    Prep: warm shower
    Soap: HTGAM Synergy FrostByte
    Brush: HIS
    Razor: Gillette New Long Comb
    Blade: Personna lab blue
AS: Krampert's Finest Frostbite, FrostByte lotion
