    Tuesday:
hot shower w/San Francisco Soap Co Mandarin bar soap
    Somersets Extra Sensitive PSO
    Gillette BlackTip SuperSpeed 3 passes
    SuperMax Titanium (1)
    Semogue Owners Club badger
Musgo Real Orange Amber cream (sample) in a warm mug
    Humphrey's Citrus WH
    Fine L'Orange Noir AS

Little changeup in my razor rotation. Pulled the Gillette New's (both LC and SC) and brought in this little BlackTip for awhile. A mild razor but it does well enough that I'd like to try a few blades in it. First time with the SuperMax Titanium and it delivered a smooth result.

Kind of a muggy, dank morning. I was a little slow getting started. So I was really looking forward to this mornings shave....

    Muhle Black Fibre
    R41
    Personna Plat
    XXX
    Lucido Splash

I received the R41 head and black fibre brush yesterday in the mail. The head is way more aggressive than I expected, but that being said the shave was irritation and knick free. As for the brush, its the first synthetic I have used and I'm not sure about my thoughts on it. It is a looker for sure...performance was amazing, but having used only badger for so long the feel was really weird.

Prep: wash with Clear Essentials glycerine soap
Soap: The Shave Den Wheat Cream, unscented
    Brush: Plisson synthetic
    Razor: Feather ASD2
    Blade: Feather
    After: Cold rinse, CeraVe lotion

I haven't used a cream in a while, because I tend to be so focused on soaps. My preferred method for using cream is unconventional, in afraid. I have nothing against bowl lathering, I just enjoy face lathering so much that I do it with creams, too.

I scooped out a bit of the cream and smeared it on my dry cheeks, then attacked with the wet brush and make mounds of lather. Very satisfying.

The shave was good, comfortable, easy, and my face feels great afterward.

    Prep: Gaia face scrub
    Oil: Shave Secret
Brush: 20mm Whipped dog set deep
    Scuttle: Georgetown Pottery
    Razor: EverReady 1912
Blade: Gem Stainless Steel with Teflon (PTFE)
    soap: D.R. Harris Windsor
    Post: alum sprayed on
    Witch Hazel: Generic unscented
    AS: Sampson's all natural

The GEM stainless steel blade held up for 5 shaves, but was very rough this morning, so I swapped it out for a stainless with teflon. We will see how long it lasts.

I used D.R. Harris windsor. It is a good soap that lathers easily and forms a nice cushion. 2 passes and a DFS.

Another 2 pass Darn Fine Shave this morning. The Cade whipped up nice and thick this morning. The Tobacco Vanille was a great finish to the morning routine. The Astra blade just keeps going. I am going to see how long it lasts.

I had a better shave with Colgate Cup soap last night. I keep opening up a couple weepers on my upper lip. I still like vintage Williams better.

15/16 Geo Wostenholm The Celebrated IXL Wedge,
    Rockingham Works, Sheffield, Hollow Point
    Proraso PSC
Ogallala Bay Rum & Sandalwood SS
    Georgetown Scuttle
    Parker Badger
    Dickinson's Witch Hazel
    Gold Bond Moisturizing Lotion
Pinaud Virgin Island Bay Rum ASL

The Wosty Wedge is a very heavy Wedge weighing approx. 3 Ounces so, it is a hand full to say the least. The Rockingham Works was abandoned in 1836 and operations was transfered to the new manufacturing facility; Washington Works starting in 1837. This wedge is also in it's original condition and is one of my top four antique straight razors. It is like shaving with a meat clever so attention must be maintained at all times during it's use. I have been sliced to the bone a couple of times with this razor; not during use but afterwards during the cleanup process. The Hollow Point end of the blade is just as sharp as the edge of the blade; take my word for it! :shocked003: This razor likes to slice my fingers for some reason. :D
At any rate, I love the Ogallala Bay Rum & Sandalwood/VIBR combo. :love055:

~ Klar Kabinett shaving soap face lathered with a Semogue 1305.
~ Maggard MR3 with the handle fully loaded with BB's using a fresh Derby blade.
~ Clinique moisturizer followed by vintage Avon Wild Country after shave lotion, Bolt container.

This soap was Pif'd to me last year from a friend of mine. I haven't used it much at all but the scent is unbeatable. The next time I use it however, I will need to use more product and possibly a smaller brush to get my desired lather.

I have loaded up this handle before but at that time, it almost seemed too heavy for my taste. I'm not sure how I arrived at that result since it was very nice today. So much so that I'll be leaving them in until the next cleaning.
