TMI!!!! My day clearly involved nicer weather. Since it was a pleasant day, I went to the archery range in the afternoon & my husband met me there, after work.
Interesting. Euell Gibbons once was quoted, "parts of the pine tree are edible." Pine tree parts would definitely be more edible than the Ball Bearing Substitutes known as Grape Nuts. http://www.abovetopsecret.com/forum/thread979945/pg1 But he was also “Stalking the Wild Asparagus.” http://nnrg.org/files/Ever eat a pine tree.pdf So maybe he influenced the great great ancestors of these squirrels who have carried on a strange tradition! Here is Euell. Here is a spoof of Euell.
I've had a very good day yesterday. I went kayaking, my favourite pastime, and had a blast. The weather was a bit grey, but still warm and with very little wind. I prefer to go kayaking when the sky is cloudy. The trip itself has more atmosphere and a more interesting mood to it. I am not sure how to explain it properly, but this will have to do
Actually no its pretty warm. We've had the best summer we've had in decades with temperatures up to 30 degrees centigrades for a longer period of time. The water was probably at 25 degrees at most. I suspect it is colder now, but still not bad. But you are in a sense correct. We are not known for our tropical weather. I suspect we share much of the same climate as Seattle.
To quote Johnny Carson; " It was so hot today, I saw a bird pulling out a worm and he was using a potholder".
Such an enjoyable morning for me. Slept in, got my Red Ale racked to a carboy for secondary fermentation. Bottled my Lager style ale and cleaned everything is. I think I'll start a wine kit next week but I'm way short on bottles right now lol
Just came across my sealed (plus single blade) pack of Gillette yellows from England. I forgot I had these.
1st day of school. yay. At least the cafeteria ladies remembered I'm gluten-free and thought about me. They gave me a yogurt parfait with granola and blueberries. mmmmmm Looking forward to the local comiccon this weekend. Peter Mayhew is supposed to be there! If he challenges me to a game of chess, I think I'll let him win.
My second root canal visit was this morning. They packed the tooth and the next step will be getting a crown. Not as bad as the first visit where they drilled it out and packed it with antibiotic, but the side of my face is numb, I'm getting a headache (novacaine tends to give me headaches) and it's time to take a nap.
Reporting in from the fjords. The sea is calm, the air is warm and there is no wind to speak of. Perfect for a trip around the block.

If you see Slartibartfast, tell him I said "Hey! Nice work!" He won an award for the fjords, you know. In other news: I'm feeling quite frustrated today.
