Rodgers & Sons Faux Frameback

    Easy rule: One piece: Faux. Set into a frame (removable or not): True frameback
    I've also read that the blade is often a lot thinner on the framebacks.

    Those scales are stunning Kevin! The wood, the dual pins and the shape give the razor a sort of modern look while the blade is entirely classic, and they definitely make an attractive combination. :drool:

    I've actually got a Wade & Butcher that looks to have a very similar cross-section to this Rodgers. The horn scales look alright (to my eye at least :p) and I'm definitely looking forward to shaving with it once it's properly honed.

    CA stands for CyanoAcrylate (aka Superglue). Hard; water-resistant, durable. A labor-intensive process (applied in multiple layers—15-20, with sanding between each application), but one can get a great finish with some time & effort.

    Yeah the finish you have looks great ... I think I have a fish finished with something like that... I'm going to research it and give it a try on my next wood one...
