My SOTD was great! As expected the Schick Dial Ajustable performed flawless, a new soap WSP Rustic Fougere Noir is awesome! A must buy at $8.98 delivered.

The Dial set to #3 gave a mild shave. Will try #5 for the second shave. How does it compare to the Slim settings?

I'm not sure. What I do know is that my Dial Adjustable set on 5, gives me a better shave then my slim on 7. I have zero irritation, no nicks/weepers. If I had to choose the dial over the slim, the dial wins. IMO

I prefer my Dial on 2.5 to 4.5 which feels like a Slim from 2 to 5 depending on the blade I use in the Slim.

I've been shaving with my J1 using the same Schick blade the last 15 days. It's starting to lose a bit of sharpness so tomorrow I'm going to switch to a Personna Platinum Chrome to do a little head-to-head comparison on these blades. I'm keeping everything else the same. Same J1, same Proraso white pre-shave and white tub soap. So we'll see who comes out the winner. I haven't use a Personna blade in a while but I did like them before I started using the Schicks. It'll be cool to see if they still hold up in comparison.

If cost is important, the Schicks came out to a bit under a nickel per shave. The Personnas will be cheaper. But I'm really just going to look at whether I like them as much since a nickel a shave isn't too bad.
