I've seen one on daBay for $50-60, It had a case. I paid $19.99 for this one, it's a very nice shaver.

It's hard for me to pass up a bargain, but I'm starting to slow down. When looking, look for M26, that manufacturing number means nothing to you and I. Have you reviewed THIS page. This will be a good reference.

Yes I have. Renaldo.US. is a remarkable resource. What is the M26?

When folks advertise on daBay they'll use M26 when what they really have is an I-L just get crafty in your searches.

That's a schick dial adjustable. Use the web page as a reference.

Schick used letters only, the numbers were used in the manufacturing plant.

They do use a letter/number system J1 but M26 was used in manufacturing. I should have been detailed in my post

My understanding is that Schick didn't use any letter or number system to identify their razors, the numbers and letters that appear on Schick injector and DE razors are related to the manufacturing plant and machinery they where made at. Alan Appleby started using letters and numbers as a way to categorize the models, starting with "A " to identify the first Magazine Repeating Razor and then progressing through the alphabet to identify the subsequent models.

Here is a quote from Applebys ORIGINAL SITE : "The Table below is a guide based on my own research and collection, and the "Types" are not company designations but ones I have made to classify different products that often went by the same trade name."

I have that bookmarked here's a question if you can help.
I1: Short square ribbed ivory handle
and gold head, or rarely black handle
    and silver (chrome) head

I have a I1 black and silver (chrome) head. How rare are these?

Just grabbed this on eBay. I know I could have found a good used one for less but I've never had an NOS razor and this one has some beat up packaging which probably makes it less desirable for a collector. So I won't feel too bad opening it and shaving with it. :)
