    THURzDAY
Super-smooth shave this morning with the Joseph Rodgers. Last night, I did a little touch on this razor with my newly-acquired Escher finisher and I suppose this contributed to the overall smoothness of this morning's shave.
Initially, this razor was a challenge for me due to its sheer bulk and shape, but the more I use it, the more I have come to appreciate what a great shaver it is! Also broke out the Tabac soap—something I've not use in some time. Great lather as always—but I need to get accustomed to it's 'old boudoir' powdery fragrance again:sick007:

    Pre: none
Razor: Joseph Rodgers & Sons 7/8 w/ custom scales
    Brush: Semogue 830
    Lather: Tabac soap
    Shave: 3 passes + touch-up
Post: home made Black River bay rum

It sure is good to be home again and not have to use the Trac II. Although it did a good job, it left me with irritation each day. Today, I was just looking for a close, comfortable shave and that's exactly what I got. No irritation at all and my face it nice and smooth. I have a couple of spots that could have used touch-up, but I didn't want to risk irritating those areas.

    Have a great day!

Superb shave today. This Ern shaves as good as anything I own and I've been using it for the last couple of days. Have a good one. BTW, keep your eyes open, I'll be doing another brush give away later this month.

Using the Tabac SC and the Big Omega Brush again this morning. I'm liking the "paintbrush" style of lathering lately. (I'm getting lazy in my old age!) :D
Kevin, I like the scent of the Tabac. You called it's fragrance "old boudoir"....I would call it more of a "French Bordello" aroma. :innocent but...that's just trashy me. ;)

Hey Jeff! Actually I couldn't find Füme Shaving soap in the city I live in. It's manifactured and sold in İstanbul. One of a wholesaler I spoke said they used to sell them but nowadays they only sell Arko and Derby shaving soaps. I haven't used any but as far as I know, there are two types of this soap; classic and lavender. I wish I would help you more but these are all I know.

The brushes are the turkish no 6. I find is performance lacking. I seldom get a good result using it. That its sold as a horse brush and not boar does not help :)
I also have the larger Lider brush from Bestshave. It is too big and annoying and I don't like the hole in the middle. Yes I know that it is designed this way, but I still do not like it.
The last brush is a Semogue 1305. It is probably a decent brush, but for me it works the same way as the no 6 brush.

Not the most comfortable shave I had but pretty good. I think the Fatip top plate needs another millimeter on it to be as comfortable as the Razzorock was.
Florena stil doesn't have the most pleasent scent but it performs great.

Shave sticks, I like them and like so many other items in my den, I neglect them. Therefore I am trying to work my way through a few of them and rediscover its performance.
Today I picked out an older Erasmic stick and was quite pleased with the result. The lather could be slightly thicker on the third pass, but that’s my fault.

The KAI blade performed better today than it did yesterday. I do not know why, but don’t care. I just enjoy the shave.

    Face Soap: Bulldog Face Wash
    Razor: Edwin Jagger de89
    Blade: KAI (4)
    Soap: Erasmic Shave Stick
