What do you guys think? These are the pics from the listing, have yet to receive the razor. I know it has a crack on the scale but that is fixable/replaceable.

Glen @gssixgun or Kevin @HolyRollah would a better judge of this than I.

The Dovo Best Quality is a good starter razor or one to keep for life. The scale looks like it's barely hanging on. You could rescale it.

    Lovely...
I really need to get in to the whole straight shaving hobby. It is the only way I can develop a proper RAD situation :)

A new set of scales and you should be good to go. The blade looks to be in fine shape!

I would shave with it a bit first then before sending it out for a re-scale or doing a re-scale yourself, just so long as the razor functions there is no reason to risk the edge until it needs honing anyway..

It is not impossible to switch scales and keep the edge intact, but there is a risk..

    JMHO :)

Gssixgun thank you for the advice man, I truly appreciate it bro. Do you guys have anyone to recommend once I am ready to send it out to get re-scaled? I also have a couple others I may want to restore eventually if you guys know anyone. Thanks again.

I believe the person with whom you were just having a discussion is the one to call regarding your new scales and restorations…..
