Blood sausage is really good. I had it for the first time in Venezuela and then once again in Puerto Rico.

    I agree, I love it.
There's this restaurant here in the city with a very....temperemental..chef that makes an absolutely amazing boudin noir - thing is you don't know when it will be on the menu so you can sign up for an unofficial email distribution list that emails you the day it's being served :)

I first had okra when I was in basic training. Since I'm a Yankee, I'd never heard of it before. But I went to basic in the south. I didn't have time to taste it, but it was good from what I remember.

it gets slimy, like cow sneeze, if overcooked.
blood sausage May be good,I just don't like the idea of eating coagulated blood, not sure the spelling on that.
lastly Mac n cheese a waste of pasta and or cheese so much better could be made with these ingredients.

I won't turn down almost anything, pending my hunger level.
if I'm hungry enough, I'll pray over it and chow down.
but fresh blood doesn't sound very appetizing

I also hate dried out chicken breast. Or overcooked meat in general.

Interesting to read through the postings and see things I like and things I'll pass on.
It's also interesting to note that it's not always the flavor that turns someone off to a particular food.
Here's a few that I can think of at the moment.

Cornbread - it used to gross me out as a kid when my grandma would put it in her glass of milk and eat it with a spoon
Pickled beets - dad didn't like 'em either
Baked ham - but I'll eat a shaved ham and cheese sandwich
Octopus, Squid, or Eel - always on the no list when we order sushi/sashimi
Meatloaf - but I can put ketchup and onions on a hamburger (plus other stuff) - you want to really gross me out then fix yourself a cold meatloaf sandwich on white bread

Then of course there's things I've never tried that just look unappetizing like head cheese

You have to have your daily servings of veggies!

I also like okra and stewed tomatoes, and I don't mind the slime.

    Hmm...let's see;
    Onions
    Peppers
    Mushrooms
    Any form of fish

There are some other foods I just dislike, but those are the ones I can't even eat, to be polite.

I'm from the South and I think I could keep down used kitty litter easier than keep down okra. lol I can't handle it at all.

The texture of liver and the minerally taste turns me off. Other than that, the only thing I had a real problem with was jellied cow brains my grandmother used to make.

I forgot about okra and tomatoes, my wife was Cajun and she used to make that for me once in awhile.

I've eaten so many 'odd' things but never tried Okra in my life. Now I have a craving for it :)

That is exactly how my Mom makes it. That and my Mom's fried chicken and I'm in Heaven.
