A DFS. It's been a while since I posted my SOTD. The lemon chill sample is almost gone! I can't believe how long these things last! Next up will be Ozark Mountain. I am only using Stirling now. Rod makes such quality products that I find myself gravitating towards them every shave.

I'm dying for a Glacial Lavender soap. What a combination - lavender with that powerful menthol. :happy108:

    Mitchell's Wool Fat
    Semogue 1305 Boar Brush
    Supermax SII Razor
    Supermax SII Nonlubricant Razor Blade
    CWR, Asma Alum Block
    Thayers Rose Petal WH
    Mennen SB AS

I picked up this Supermax SII, a Trac II clone made in India. This is its maiden voyage. The Mitchell's Wool Fat face-lathered very easily with my Semogue 1305 Boar Brush. Two passes with my Supermax SII and Supermax SII nonlubricant blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, alum block, and a final cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayers Rose Petal WH and then Aqua Velva Ice Blue after shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed... I did experience some tugging, but overall, it was a fine shave.

This time, I used a cream that I'm sure 99% of you have never heard of before. It's called Znakhar and hails from Russia. Crackstar is very fluent in Russian and told me that Znakhar means witch doctor in Russian. He also told me it's a very popular cream over there.

Initial impressions are good. It took a little bit to get the lather down, but I figured it out. To me it smells exactly like the Barbon shaving cream. The performance was good too. I need to figure out the lather more, but I was rewarded with a DFS shave after two passes.

    Shave of the day

    Pre- Hot shower

    Soap/cream- Florena men shave cream

    Brush- The body shop Synthetic

    Razor- Gillette slim adjustable (3)

    Blade- Astra SP

Post- Cold water rinse, Speick for men and Nivea aftershave balm

Yesterday I received a gift from Martin in denmark @tuxxdk.

The Florena shave cream and Speick aftershave in todays shave was part of the gift =D

First of all, GREAT shave. 2 passes WTG =) Im sticking to WTG passes only for the moment, some XTG on stubborn spots.

The shave cream smelled very nice and had good slickness. The shave was very comfortable.

Im starting to really like the Slim!! Te Speick aftershave was a great gift because I have wanted to try it for some time. I've just postponed it because I have my Old spice whitewater which I love. And when I splashed some Speick AS after the shave I immediately liked the smell and after a few seconds I felt a but of tingling, that's when I realized that I liked it ALOT. It was a nice surprise, I didn't check the ingredients so I didn't know it contained menthol. It's subtle but present.

I'm very happy with this shave! Also The body shop synthetic is really nice and has good backbone

    Avast ye scurvy shavers!
It's talk like a pirate day! I had a superb shave with Synergy Coconut Bay and Bay Rum AS Tonic. The soap became yogurty goodness in no time, thanks to the Lather Monster. My SC101 comfortably keel-hauled my stubble, and the bay rum tonic shivered me timbers to finish.

    Prep: ATG
    Soap: Synergy Coconut Bay
    Brush: HIS lather monster
    Razor: iKon ShaveCraft 101
    Blade: Personna lab blue (2)

My face is so frozen from this Frost_byte soap that it's unreal. I was barely able to feel the 444 balm and the Penguin when I applied them after my shave. This soap's lathering ability is off the charts, because just a small amount is needed to get it going and within seconds your face is buried under rich, thick, icy-cold lather. The 444 balm moisturizes as well as soothes, and the Penguin adds its own special freeze. Wow, am I ever smooth - this shave was super-BBS and pleasurable. ;) :D

Have a great weekend, folks! :)

    Prep: hot shower
    Razor: Slim Twist
    Blade: Bolzano(day 2)
    Brush: Vie-Long
    Soap: Stirling One
    Passes: 2 (WTG, XTG)
    Post: Witch Hazel

I went with the mild Slim Twist today, but still ran into the same irritation as I did yesterday. Granted it was not as intense and the shave itself is just as smooth, so there was some improvement. Right now I feel the irritation is due to one or a combination of the following, the soap, the blade, or me. Two of those three components are very simple to chang. I hope that is where the problem lies...
