Hi I was thinking of getting a Whipped Dog brush, but i am unsure as to whether to get a Firehouse handle. Has anyone ever used one of these handles? Just wondering what they're like to use.
I think for all of the glowing reviews the WD seems to get it's what I'll ordering. I'm thinking 24mm silvertip with the black/silver marble handle.
Great choice. Mine is a black/silver marble (doesn't show up well in my pic). Looks great in real life! What depth are you going to get it set at?
I'm not quite sure of that yet. I'll let Larry know what I'm looking for and take his recommendation.

Used it for the first time today and I was very happy with the performance. The brush, while dense and firm, was very soft on the face. It had just the right amount of back-bone and stiffness to it for both face and bowl lathering. After years of using nothing but cheap scritchy badger brushes this is a very welcome addition. It may take a little getting used to because compared to my other brushes this one felt like I was lathering with a handful of cotton balls...not a bad thing, but definately not what I've become used to.
I like the analogy with the cotton balls It does take a little getting used too, but the Silvertip feels great on my face. Glad you like it sir. You can now truly get a very gentlemenly shave.
