The same set-up as yesterday morning and I said I was going to use it again. The other day when I was lathering up with the Glacial Obsidian soap, within seconds the menthol effect jumped on me and my eyes were tearing from it. The longer the lather was on my face, the colder it felt and when I slapped on the Glacial Wintergreen witch hazel, I felt a freezing sensation from it which lasted almost the whole morning - was it beautiful!

The TABAC Shaving Soap face-lathered very easily with my Frank Shaving Finest Badger Brush. Two passes with my Schick J2 and Schick Plus Platinum blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. The blade was very smooth with no tugging. After a cold water rinse, alum block, and a final cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayers Rose Petal WH and then Mennen Skin Bracer after shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

I was expecting a good BBS result but this razor blade couldn't handle the neck area, left some hair and irritated my neck. I'll stick to modern blades like Asco and Rapira next time.

Rub the above ingredients between both hands and apply to face rubbing into skin and enjoy every minute..

 

Menthol Monday!
Superb shave today! The Proraso got me off to a cold start that never let up. I actually had to stop and wipe tears out of my eyes. It's been too long since I used FrostByte! This soap is excellent. I almost couldn't feel the Aristocrat cutting my stubble throughout this smooth and easy shave. No weepers or irritation at all. The FrostByte aftershave lotion fed my face and kicked up the menthol to make it last longer. Glorious. The stand was made for me by my friend JR - thanks again, sir! Excellent workmanship.

today's shave is nice. I think the pur-tech may be my softest brush, but not much backbone. it's nice for soft creams. the 69 super did fine, three passes, I'm good. Pacific rush didn't burn my Florida skin( like holy water on a vampire). smooth and smelling good, I'm ready for Monday.

It was nice to go back to the straights for the weekend, but the shaves were just not up to par. Back to the mild Slim Twist today. The stubble around my goatee required some extra attention. All said and done a DFS

Tried something different today, I have found that using Proraso pre shave with proraso red soap gives a nice menthol effect.
I thought I would try a different combination, wasn't as good menthol wise, but still a good shave.
