Early start today means a 4:00am shave. Today is a long day as tonight the church launches an evening Bible studies for both men & women. This means I'll get home some time after 10pm.
Another good shave mit der Henckel 'Blau Stahl'…I suppose I'll find out how good by how smooth I remain by the time I get home later…

35% contained as of yesterday. The weather's been cooperating these past few days - humidity's up and the winds have calmed down a little. Still lots of smoke throughout the Tahoe basin though. Here's a link to the local CalFire update page if you're interested.

I find TR Koriander Bergamot heavy on the Koriander with the Bergamot a light undertone so todays shave I combined a pea size of TR Koriander Bergamot with five swirls of the brush with Mystic Waters Jasmine and this produced a wonderful combination. The Jasmine really mellowed out the Koriander and brought out the Bergamot. My 6yr old granddaughter had commented that she did not like the aroma of the TR at all and the Jasmine was OK but when I combined the two together and she took a whiff she said "awesome sauce" so a second stamp of approval on this combination of soaps. The lather produced was a creamy and billowy mixture that provided a two pass shave for myself and a two brush lather for the granddaughter who likes to emulate me from time to time with her own 20mm silvertip I gave her last year. Can anyone recommend a Jasmine AS or an aftershave that has a touch of Jasmine as part of the ingredients list?

Off the top of my head, two of RazoRock's aftershave products - Cumba Cheech and One-X - have jasmine in them, the former pairing jasmine with orange blossom and the latter with fig and menthol. I know from contact with these vendors that TSD, Ginger's Garden, and Stirling are all also willing to make a jasmine-based aftershave (with other notes as you desire) upon request, though note that JoAnna's current medical issues with her vision may create some delays with custom scents. EDIT TO ADD: If memory serves, Mama Bear also offers a jasmine aftershave, or at least did in the past.

Pinaud Clubman also lists jasmine among its scent notes, incidentally, but it's less noticeable to me as a jasmine scent than the RazoRock offerings listed above.

I have decided to turn this into Stahly Live Blade week. The gold does not vibrate as vigorously as the chrome, but it still did the job. I bowl lathered the Windsor. The lather was lacking in consistency, but it was slick enough. The AV brought the chill. I got a 2 pass Darn Fine Shave for my efforts.
