It's from Egypt. A good friend of mine brought me a few tubes of it when he was visiting his family in Cairo.
Jeff, believe me, you haven't really experienced a fantastic sensation until you've shaved your head with a Glacial soap and then followed that with a Captain's Choice Cat O'Nine Tails splash! ICY HOT!!! If I could just plug my nose, I would do that almost any day of the week.
Rooney Heritage Stubby 3 St. James of London Cedarwood & Clary Sage (bowl) B3 Gillette Super Speed Red Tip Polsilver Brown blade Baux balm Baux EdT Everything about this shave was wonderful, scent, smoothness, results. My routine three passes then sadness as I have to wait another day before I can do this again..
Razor: Gillette gold toggle (D1) 1958 (5) Brush: e-shave Badger Mug: Old Spice (late glass Mug 06 - 1961to 1974) Cream: Taylor of Old Bond Street - coconut Blade: Feather (1) Post shave: Thayers Cucumber WH, Jack Black cooling gel, TOBS Luxury Shave 3 using my "new" 1958 toggle. The TOBS whipped up thick lather. Ok, now for the setting on the toggle. I moved it up to 5 looking for that sweet spot, The toggle only adjusts the gap, so I'll see where it goes. I dropped in a new Feather, checked the alignment and was good to go for my first pass WTG. So far so good, very close on this pass. A little rinse to see how we are doing and relather for a XTG pass on my face and ATG on my neck. Some more lather for touch up on my neck and we are done. Warm water rinse and pat dry. Some WH and after cleanup some Jack Black AS gel, then some OS and all is good. Another DFS for my toggle. This was my best shave so far with the toggle, I will be leaving it on 5 which is also the same as my other adjustables. It does feel different with the blade angle not changing like it does on my FB. I'm still on cloud 9.
Fridays shave Again in a hurry, Razor - Gem micromatic open comb Blade - Gem blade graciously donated by the super friendly dude known as Omar Lather - Tabac Brush - Semogue Aftershave - nivea sensitive balm - Clubman's Special Reserve Need to spend more time with this razor still a quick, comfortable shave. Have a great weekend
I have neglected this razor for too long. And yet again I plan on using my schick dial tomorrow. I'm glad I could help you enjoy the razor with some extra blades. How many shaves do you get per blade. So far I've used one blade 5 times. And it seemed like it had a more life. I don't try to stretch the life of one blade, but 5 shaves and no sign of it giving out. As soon as it does, bye bye =P Edit: And also, I haven't shaved with tabac for a loooong time
About 5 shaves too. I want your Schick Dial!!! I am intending to try injector razors one day, just want too master SE first.
I'm hooked On B&M Lavanille. This soap is amazing. It has everything: scent, performance, skincare, and post shave feel. This one is second only to Tabac for sentimental reasons.
SOTD 26Sept 2014 Last couple brands in a sampler...first attempt with these blades. Feathers are next then a shot at GDCarrington's 30 day rule...Silver Blue in the lead right now...Derby Green in second...Shark super chrome still in last place. 2pass/+touchup yielded nearly BBS, but I find my face slightly more irritated than it really should be. Alum block was pretty intense today...3 weepers. I am a big advocate of tonic....Decided to keep it old school today. I know tonic is not strictly SOTD, but I don't get dressed without it. Looking forward to the weekend, and hope everyone has a good afternoon!

SEptember 27's Dove Men's Face Wash ARKO Shaving Cream Turkish #6 Schick L-1 Schick Plus Platinum CWR, Asma Alum Block Thayers Rose Petal WH Aqua Velva Ice Blue The ARKO Shaving Soap face-lathered very easily with my new Turkish #6 Brush. Two passes with my Schick L-1 and Schick Plus Platinum blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, alum block, and a final cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayers Rose Petal WH and then Aqua Velva Ice Blue after shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
I got a pretty bad cut under my chin. This lather is tricky. I keep getting it too airy. I even used way more product than usual to try and combat that. The bleeding wouldn't even stop when I put my alum block on it. In spite of all that, the rest of my shave was decent. I know once I figure this cream out it will be even better. And not to mention it was extremely frosty!
