Shave of the day

Pre- Hot shower, Coalface face soap(From LUSH)

Soap/cream- Proraso red

Brush- The body shop Synthetic

Razor- Schick dial(3)

Blade- Schick injector blade

Post- Cold water rinse, Speick for men and Nivea aftershave balm

First shave ever with a Schick. I was very careful so I didn't cut myself.

It felt a bit tuggy on some places on my face, but I blame it on technique =) I didn't get as close as I like and would get with my slim or my MMOC or even my muhle r89. But I didn't want to make to many passes and end up with irritation. The key is to know when to stop haha. I got an irritation free shave, I'm happy with that.

I think the shave would be better with some personna injector blades.

 

I can't think of anyone else here who deserves it more!

Damn, what a nice shave with a great vintage stick - the Permafrost Blue has a very pleasant licorice scent with awesome lather and a STRONG menthol sensation, as well as good skincare. It's too bad that Giovanni, the former owner of Tryphon Enterprises which was the company which produced it had to leave the business because this was a hell of a shaving item. The Barbon aftershave felt simply fabulous afterwards - its cooling effect is strong and does it ever have a lot of soothing to it. I found a half-full bottle of Pino Silvestre eau de toilette which is a fragrance that I like a lot.

9/27/14 - Old Spice Saturday

One of the constants in my life from my earliest memories on is the smell of Old Spice. One of my granddads used it and my dad uses it and I started using in as a teenager. My wife, who is way more sophisticated than me, mentioned that she liked the way I smelled when we first were going out and was shocked when I told her that I was wearing Old Spice. She thought that was supposed to be an "old man" scent but I didn't smell like one. Might have been the phermones or fate but 26 + years later she still likes the way I smell.

Anyways, I pulled out a full Old Spice treatment this morning for my Saturday shave. Old Spice cream, Old Spice aftershave and Old Spice cologne because I like it. Here are a couple of pictures from my cabinets.

This morning's shave made me happy. I whipped up a nice lather in my G-12 scuttle and had enough for many more passes than the 3 I made this morning. Changed up a little with WTG, ATG and XTG passes since I had a little time. The resulting DFS gave me a smile. The OS lather was slick, warm and cushioning. I am ready to take on my day!

Maggard’s Fougere Sauvage today. 20 seconds to load the brush for a great lather. Viking’s Sword in the Slim. A smooth, close, nick free shave. I finished with Azzaro.

Superb Saturday Shave
Everything worked great today. I went back to my old reliables Tabac, SC101 and Personna lab blue blade. I finished with B&M Kyovu Bay Rum, and it makes my face feels great.
