Is it a new brush? If so it just may not be broken in yet, also I'd give it a day on day off to let it dry.

It is a relatively new brush, but I've been getting irritation from a broken in boar as well. No worries, I really like my horse hair

    Tyr's Day:

Prep: Hot shower, Healthy Accents Daily Renewal Cleanser, TSD Jasmine Sambac Preshave balm
    Brush: Simpson 56 Best Badger
    Soap: Ginger's Garden Grapefruit Mint
    Razor: Merkur 41c 1904 OC
    Blade: Bic Chrome Platinum (3)
    Passes: WTG, XTG (7, 8)
Post: Cold water splash, Bloc Osma Alum, Dickinson's WH, Aveeno Active Naturals ASB
    Cologne: Burberry Brit by Burberry

Woozy and light-headed enough that I should have stayed in bed today, but I'm apparently either too stubborn or too stupid. The Ginger's Garden lathered up like a champ, as usual, though it's not as immediate a reward as the RazoRock. With at least some of the blame likely falling on feeling poorly, I reopened the weeper on my Adam's Apple on the XTG pass, which was enough to tell me I should call a 2-pass DFS sufficient for the day.

Tuesday, September 30, 2014 (First post in a while)
    C.O. Bigelow
    Simply Beautiful Badger
Aristocrat w/Gillette Super Slim Platinum (1)
    3 passes, touch up
Cold water, witch hazel, Neutrogena Triple Protect Face Lotion, TSD ISZ Milk

This was my first shave with this combination. It was a decent shave (and decent is the best I usually get). But I had lots of nicks and a few weepers. I felt a lot of irritation, but there wasn't that much visible redness. So once the pain died down, I had a decent shave.

I just picked up a Shake Sharp. I intended to use it as a display piece, but if it's a decent shaver, I'll have to give it a try.

The Shake Sharp "feel" is between the Gillette open comb and the R41 2013 version. The DE blade has more flex than an SE.

I like using the Shake Sharp. The quality of shave that I get is great. I have the gold and the bakelite version. Both models shave about the same. The "feel" is between the Gillette OC and the R41 2013 version.
