    Cold Water Shave

Being as the WTG-XTG-ATG method worked each day that I shaved, I will use it again tonight after I take my shower before I go to bed.. Tomorrow I go again for Physical Therapy. Hope it does something for my hands going numb

    London Barbershop
I could not resist Maggard's new soap and their September sale, so I ordered it on the 30th and it arrived the next day. I used it today and I really like it. The scent is fresh and clean, and it performed very well. I'm happy to support Michigan businesses and artisans, and this soap makes that easy.
I used two passes with my New today and my face is thankful for it. No irritation or weepers. I went WTG-ATG on my cheeks and more or less XTG twice on my neck, where the stubble grows in swirls.

    Prep: ATG
    Soap: Maggard's London Barbershop
    Brush: HIS
    Razor: Gillette New LC
    Blade: Personna lab blue
AS: Kiehl's Facial Fuel, HTGAM Gondolier

    VDH Badger
Aristocrat w/Gillette Super Slim Platinum (3)
    3 passes, touch up
Cold water, witch hazel, Neutrogena Triple Protect Face Lotion, TSD ISZ Milk

Another decent shave. I may actually have a razor rotation now . . . my Merkur HDC, and my Aristocrat w/Gillette SS Platinum! Granted, it's only a two razor rotation, and it took me a year to get here, but it's a start. The VDH Badger didn't smell . . . until I soaked it. Then it smelled like a bathroom. I assume that will go away.

    Open Comb OCtober

    Prep: hot shower
    Razor: Aristocrat TTO Open Comb
    Blade: BIC platinum
    Brush: Vie-Long
    Cream: Taylor Grapefruit
    Passes: 1 1/2 (WTG, XTG)
    Post: Proraso Blue AS balm

Man I really live the scent of the Taylor Grapefruit. I pulled out my only open comb for Open Comb OCtober which also happens to be my most aggressive DE, the Aristocrat. Being mindful of the pressure, I was able to walk away with a comfortable shave. The 'stache needed some maintenance today, which the Aristocrat excelled at. It did distract me and I forgot the second pass on my neck...

Yesterday's shave. 2 pass BBS. There was some irritation on my neck, but I put some Myrsol Emulsion on later and it healed up quickly. The menthol blast was awesome too.

    Prep: Nutregena face cleanser
    Oil: Shave Secret
Brush: 20mm Whipped dog set deep
    Scuttle: Georgetown Pottery
Razor: Gillette new open comb (long)
    Blade: Ladas
soap: Tiki Soap - frosted woodlands
    Witch Hazel: Generic unscented

I went back to the frosted woodlands soap today. It is a very nice mentholated soap. Unfortunately, it was a special order from Tiki by @ram57. I was lucky enough to get a sample of it. I am beginning to see why people like menthol mondays.

Today was a nice2 pass DFS with bits of BBS thrown in. Have a great day folks.

10/2/2014 Open Comb October / Badger Brush Week

Prep: Hot shower with Nivea Face Wash with menthol, home made PSO
Razor: Gillette 1903, Hamburg Concave Quick Cutter straight razor
    Blade: Astra SP (2)
    Brush: Black Badger 19mm knot
    Soap: L'Occitane - Cade
After: Home made ASB, Aqua Velva Musk
    Cologne: Spice Bomb

A comfortable 2 pass almost BBS shave this morning. The Black Badger whipped the Cade into a great lather. The 1903 and the Quick Cutter had no problems mowing down the stubble. The Spice Bomb will keep me smelling good all day.

    Have a blessed day!

    Prep: Clear Essentials glycerin soap
    Soap: Barrister & Mann, unscented
    Brush: HIS 1865 synthetic
    Razor: 1956 Gillette Super Speed
    Blade: Personna Med Prep
    After: cold rinse, CeraVe lotion

The HIS 1865 is the slightly smaller version of the big HIS brush. Knot size is slightly smaller, 25mm vs 28mm, and the knot is a little less densely packed, but the performance is great. The B&M soap has lots of lanolin, and my face feels goods after shaving.
