Travelling with a Mastro Livi RWL34

This time I decided to bring with me this Mastro Livi razor and it will keep me company for about 10 days. I am very happy for that, of course, as I guess I took an excellent decision in choosing this travel mate. Moreover, I love the RWL34 touch and its excellent property of holding the edge for a very long time. Always ready for shaving, just a pass on Mastro Livi loom strop and hand palm, and I am ready to have the best shave ever.

Razor - HTGAM The Agent OC
Blade - Personna Med Prep (3)
Soap - Dapper Dragon Strawberry Lemonade

Post - Shea Moisture Tea Tree

I figured the OC Agent was a perfect way to start out OCtober. The DD summer soap still gives that summer feel even with it cooling down.

Excellent shave for OCtober. I have no idea how this razor has aquired the infamous reputation that it has. It is a very smooth shaver if you know how to use it. unlike some people I follow the instructions and actually use it flat. The skin bevel is designed for this purpose. Using it this way it doesn't even feel like a blade is even there. I ended up getting a 2-pass BBS except for my chin where I only do WTG, usually.

There is some definite itching during and after the shave. I'm going to continue using this brush and sees if it goes away.

  15. If you soak the brush in some Oxiclean for about 30 min and then give it a bath with some shampoo it will take a lot of the Badger smell out. It will also go away with use.

A Repeat of Yesterday's Fine shave

to keep my hampered routine simple, I opted to have a repeat performance of yesterday's right-handed DE shave.
only difference is I swapped out the petal pushers for the cade/stirling combo, which accomplishes two things for me: the Stirling kicks up the scent (anise!:love029:) of the weaker-scented cade, and the Cade boosts the creaminess of the rather thin Stirling lather: a win-win! Plus the incredible menthol Stirling blast is soooo refreshing! I had a few weepers this morning, so obviously my right-hand hasn't completely mastered the solo-shave yet. But the results were a DFS!
    Have a great thursday, all!
