What are your favorite cheap razor blades when bought in bulk? I bought 100 Astra SPs that I like though I sometimes prefer to buff with smoother, duller blades like Derby. And where are good places to buy your favorites online? (I want to exclude anything that costs in the neighborhood of $20 or more when bought in 100s. Let me be explicit and make $18 and up the cutoff.) For me, short-use cheapies are more valuable than pricey but long-lasting.

Have you tried any of the Treet DEs? How are they? I think I have a Treet black colored blade somewhere in my sample pack but haven't used it yet.

Lords, esp. Big Ben. Don't know if they're a best buy but they strike me as reasonably cheap for the performance.

The least expensive , but really good blades I've ever bought were Astra SP's from amazon when they were selling for under $10 a hundred. The best I've tried lately are Vikings Sword and Q-Balls both are around $16 a hundred but with free shipping from Liorfe on ebay.. :) Some really good blades IMO, are PolSilver Super Iridiums, but they cost double your cutoff price. The Vikings Sword Blades are 99.9% as good as the SI's but, ALOT cheaper.. :)

Yes, I've used the Treet Dura Sharp carbon steel DE blades. They're good but only last about 2 shaves.

Edited to add that the Treet DE blades are not made by the same company as the SE blades.

Just picked up a 200 pack of Astra SPs for 18.52 with Free shipping off the bay. That's good for 600 shaves for me.

Viking Sword, Israeli blades on the bay. 100 for 16.20 and free shipping. Great blades that last 5-6 shaves for me.

Treet Black Beauties are excellent blades. They don't last long (2, MAYBE 3 shaves) however they're very smooth and because their extremely low price they're very economical.

I like Astra SP. Good price for a very decent blade. Longevity isn't an issue for me, as I toss then after two shaves but for the price there is no need to squeeze more out of them.

Where does one get 200 Supermax Platinums for $7? That includes shipping?

Great question @cournot. I'm glad you asked it, I had some questions about that! Lots of good suggestions to try!

I may try my lone sample of the Treet Black. These seem to sell for around $16 per 200. I'm also curious about the Supermax Platinum.

Any opinions on the Supermax Blue Diamond Platinum? There's a tempting offer with 100 of those plus 100 Sharks and 100 Rapiras for only $27 shipped. I know that I like the samples of Shark and Rapira that I've tried.

The thing is, other people's opinions on blade brands are basically irrelevant to whether they will be good or terrible for you. Every brand mentioned so far is somebody's favorite and somebody's least favorite. That's why sampler packs are popular: you just have to try them yourself.

There's b&m supermarket here in kl that seems the cheaper end of shaving products but they have wude selection of old spice, tabac and yardley, all the old school stuff. I've posted in a different thred. So it doesn't include shipping. If you guys interested I can proxy purchase for you. shipping is about $50 for half kilo box. I managed to feed in at least 500-600 different blades
