Nice face-freezing shave even if I say so myself - the Permafrost stick is now a vintage item. It gives good lather, smells very mentholy and nice, with a strong cooling sensation. Nowhere near as strong as a Glacial soap, but still pretty strong. This was my first use of the Gold Bond lotion after a shave and I find it to be good stuff - it's very, very cooling and soothing. The Penguin really hit me with a powerful chill. This Sharp blade seems to be better than the other ones in the pack. Who knows - maybe it'll last longer. ;) :D

    Prep: hot shower
    Razor: WW2 Gillette Tech
    Blade: Treet Platinum (day 1)
    Brush: Vie-Long
    Soap: Proraso Green
    Passes: 2 (WTG, XTG)
    Post: Witch Hazel

A mild and simple shave this morning. Two irritation free passes from a fresh Treet Platinum got me as close a shave as I typically get, DFS. I'll be among the public at a career symposium today, so I opted for a relatively low scent shave by leaving the M-Bomb out and finishing with witch hazel.

    Tabacstag!
Three shaves in, and I've had not even a hint of irritation, nor any weepers. The Vorschlaghammer does not live up to its menacing name... It's one of the smoothest razors I've used. I'm going to experiment with blades to see if I can get a longer lasting shave. Yesterday was very pleasant, but by 4pm I felt stubble. Usually, my SC101 lasts a few more hours, and my New lasts until I go to bed.

    Prep: Proraso Green PSC
    Soap: Tabac!
    Brush: HIS
    Razor: Vorschlaghammer 39c
    Blade: Personna lab blue (3)

The vintage Colgate is one of my favorite soaps. Never fails to give me a great lather/shave. So now I look good, feel good and smell great.

After: Home made ASB, Aqua Velva classic Ice Blue after shave

A nice 2 pass Darn Fine Shave + this morning. The Vie Long whipped up the MWF into a wonderful lather. The Aqua Velva brought the chill and the MFK - Oud will have me smelling great for the rest of the day.

    Have a blessed day!

    WD Synthetic
    Stick Schick w/Schick Blades (1)
Cold water, witch hazel, Neutrogena Triple Protect Face Lotion, TSD AS Milk (Irish Spring type)
    3 passes, touch ups

This was not pretty. I continued my losing streak with any type of single edge razor. (I think I'm 0-9 now.) Do you hold an injector flat against your face, like an SE, or more at an angle, like a DE?

It's still a pretty cool looking razor, though.

    TUESDAY
    SR shaving, Day 2

I had such a great SR shave yesterday (1st one in over a week), I indulged myself with another one this morn. Mostly right-handed (25% done with my tender lefty), but the C-Mon delivered a smooth shave not unlike the good one I had yesterday with the Beau Brummel. Very similar feel between the two. Of all the razors I've used, the most consistent, most comfortable seem to be the ones that seem to be related: the Dubl duck, Beau Brummels & C-Mon style). All are keepers.

    Have a great ToozDay, everyone!

    Pre Shave Balm: Proraso Sensitive
    Shave Soap: CRSW Spiced Amber
    Post: Monster Alum Block
    Aftershave: Florida Waters
Picked up this razor in a trade and I believe it is a '48 Aristocrat as it has a notched center bar but no date code and I'm sure someone out there will correct me if I am wrong. Smooth comfortable 2 pass shave with a Spoiler blade and this will be my razor of choice for the next couple of days. Have tried 4 CWSR samples in the last six days and I like the pre/post shave of this soap but only fragrance that really caught my attention was the Select Vetiver which is a lighter Vetiver and quite different than other Vetiver soaps I have tried.

Prep: wash with Clear Essentials glycerin soap
    Soap: Mystic Water sensitive
    Brush: HIS synthetic
    Razor: Feather AS-D2
    Blade: Feather
    After: Cold rinse, CeraVe lotion

Today I used a sample of Mystic Water "sensitive" soap, which is unscented with additional herbal ingredients that are believed to soothe skin irritation. I expected more of an herbal scent, but there is just a subtle botanical smell from the calendula (marigold) flowers. It is pleasant smelling, not medicinal at all. I have Mystic Water unscented in my rotation of unscented soaps, and it performs well. This sample made a good easy lather.

    Smooth, comfortable shave.

I forgot what a smooth shave they give. Unfortunately the large head is still cumbersome around the nose and chin. Luckily I had the Schick I-2 nearby to assist. Still waiting on the Pumpkin harvest. The Alpine Frost was frosty but not as frosty as I thought it would be.
