I have been trying to use the unused part of my brain.

 

Too rich for my blood, but I do love the tone on the Ovation acoustic-electrics. (Almost 25 years ago had a CC68 which I wish I held on to.)

 

I've only wanted the Balladeer because its what Cat Stevens used in all his concerts. (Albums were either Gibson or Martins of course)

 

I've used this same explanation on my guitars with regards to guitar purchases. However, by the third or fourth time, she wasn't buying it (literally) any more! I've played a J200 (yes, a lefty!) a few years ago and was very impressed with both the tone and playability. The owner did have it set up so it wasn't the standard factory set-up. Played like a dream. Nice, warm, woody dry Gibby tone.

My biggest issue with the Ovations bowl-backs is trying to keep it in my lap when playing (the infamous Ovation Lap Slip!).

 

Yep, especially when you're trying to stabilize two convex surfaces meeting at their respective apexes.

A-Friggin-Men

 

I got up & out early, in a vain attempt to see the lunar eclipse. Did any of you see it?

 

Yep. Only about 10% cloud cover this morning. I didn't make a point to get up early, I'm always out at 545 or so. Cool looking Blood Moon.

 

My one day to sleep in so.....no I didn't

 

So..... Leif has Hands, Foot, & Mouth Disease. His ear looked fine so I'm assuming a misdiagnosis from the previous doc.

 

I`m on bad terms with the moon (since I figured out it is a big space alien egg).

I didn`t know it was happening, but it was overcast all night.


So things are rolling...Had a phone interview today; I`ll find out by Friday if they want a face-to-face. During that call, another HR manager called asking for an interview. Also, a friend is trying to get me in at his accounting firm (either as a manager or on his team).

That`s all...and SWMBO loves her Sax! playing it daily...and yeah...she is pretty good for not touching it for 11+ years.

 

Luke, I'll keep you in my prayers for the right job to come your way and that your wife and you also will be healthy.
