    Gillette Old Type
    Shark Super Chrome (3)
    CWR, Asma Alum Block
    Thayers Rose Petal WH
    Aqua Velva Ice Blue

The TOBS Shaving Cream face-lathered very easily with my Semogue 1305 Boar Brush. Two passes with my Gillette Old Type and Shark Super Chrome blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, alum block, and a final cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayers Rose Petal WH and then Aqua Velva Ice Blue after shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

    Odin's Day:

Prep: Hot shower, Neutrogena Invigorating Face Cleanser, TSD Jasmine Sambac Preshave balm
    Brush: Simpson 56 Best Badger
    Soap: Ginger's Garden Oakmoss
    Razor: FaTip Piccolo OC
    Blade: Bolzano Superinox (3)
    Passes: WTG, XTG (6, 7)
Post: Cold water splash, Bloc Osma Alum, Dickinson's WH, Pinaud Clubman AS splash
    Cologne: Xeryus by Givenchy

Didn't get to post this AM. Interruptions in my routine left the soap soaking longer than usual, which resulted in even easier lathering than is typical for Ginger's Garden. Two passes were sufficient for a nick-free, weeper-free DFS.

My first shave with my new soap, RazoRock One X. It was recommended to me by members here.
I don't know what I expected scent-wise, but the scent was certainly not that! And I don't mean that in a bad way.
I feared it was a much stronger sweet almond scent. I don't really get that at all, but I am also very bad at scents. It's very subtle.
Menthol level is much lower than Proraso Green. It's on a level where you don't really notice it, but then again, you do! Very nice balanced.
It's my first "croap" and I struggled a bit with the water to soap ratio. It got it too thin in the end, but still it provided good protection.
The blade is so-so compared to my better blades, and with that in the equation I think it's a killer soap so far!
I fear it's a limited available range they carry, so if I decide I like it for good as a stable, I need to hoard in before it goes away :)
    Very much BBS!

Prep: Hot shower, Neutrogena Deep Cleaning Gentle Scrub Cleanser, TSD Jasmine Sambac Preshave balm
    Brush: Simpson 56 Best Badger
    Soap: Stirling Bay Rum
    Razor: FaTip Piccolo OC
    Blade: Bolzano Superinox (4)
    Passes: WTG, XTG (8, 9)
Post: Cold water splash, Bloc Osma Alum, Dickinson's WH, Captain's Choice Cat o' Nine Tails AS splash
Cologne: Gigember Estragone by Dr. Vranjes

I soaked the Stirling longer than I had been, based on Monday's relative success with the Glacial Obsidian; the lather was easier to create, but the first pass's lather still thinned notably by the time I got around to the goatee area. The second pass was more stable, and the results were a DFS shave with a single weeper where I apparently played 'find the pimple.' Curiously, the Cat o' Nine Tails provided none of its typical burn, despite using the typical amount.

My Super Speed is so great - it really cleaned me up beautifully with the help of this Sharp blade which is performing like a champ so far, and it's on its fourth day. This #6 horsehair is a terrific little brush - although it's small it whips up tons of lather with ease and I use it with my creams. Talking about creams, the Godrej Menthol Mist is another menthol atom bomb. OK, it's not at the level as a Glacial soap or Synergy Frost_byte but it can still make a man shiver. The Rubby Dubby Doo made the end of this shave feel wonderful. BBS in two passes and with no issues. ;) :D

today's shave is coming up roses. I'm very happy with this morning shave. the pirate's cove is very nice soap, it made thick, slick lather. the custom two band, just awesome. the single ring is simplicity in its finest. weight, feel, and function, I'm surprised we ever got anything else. three passes, no touch up, perfect. I finished with legitima.
hope y'all do as well, or better. 20141009_064512.jpg

Personna lab blue > Gillette SE yellow
At least for me. I get consistently comfortable shaves with the lab blues. The yellow cut closer, but also irritate my skin a bit. Don't get me wrong, my face is not unbearably irritated, it just doesn't feel as good as it does after using lab blues.
I used Synergy Pumpkin 3.14 today, in the 1.5 formula. It lathered just as well and easily as my other Synergy soaps. The scent is like a pie, with nutmeg sticking out to me in a pleasantly warm mixture. I don't smell the scent lingering much after the shave, which is good for those who don't want to smell like food all day.

    Soap: Synergy Pumpkin 3.14

    Lather: Proraso Red Cream
    Brush: Oscar11 w/ Omega 20248 Knot

    Aftershave: Old Spice

I seldom use a single edge razor, so each time I do, it's like learning to shave again. I got a close shave, but it came with a fair amount of tenderness. I need to decide whether or not I want to invest the time to really learn to use a SE. I may just stick with my injectors and DEs. They work so well that I really don't need to learn to use a different type of razor.

    Have a great day!

    Osage Rub/Witch Hazel/Sage mix
    Musgo Real Amber Orange cologne

A bit of an Iberian Peninsula influence in todays shave, which was fabulous btw. The Personna Injector II is a mild but effective razor when paired with the sharp as heck Schick blade. Now I look good, feel good and smell fantastic! It's going to be a good day

    10/9/2014 Open Comb October

Prep: Hot shower with Nivea Face Wash with menthol
Razor: Muhle R41 2010 version, H. Boker Master Razor straight razor
    Blade: Astra SP (5)
Brush: Vie Long Horse Hair 23mm knot
    Soap: TSD Lanolin - Sandalwood
After: Home made ASB, Aqua Velva Ice Blue after shave
    Cologne: Slumberhouse - Flou

A nice 2 pass almost BBS shave today. The TSD in Sandalwood whipped up to a yogurt like consistency and always smells great. The R41 2010 version is like using a Gillette 1903 OC with a longer handle. The AV brought the chill this morning. The Slumberhouse - Flou will keep me smelling fresh all day.

    Have a blessed day!

Another very fine shave today. The Gillette Wilkinson is a very good blade for me but I think four shaves is the limit.

    Prep: glycerin soap
Brush: 20mm Whipped dog set deep
    Scuttle: Georgetown Pottery
    Razors: Gillette old open comb
    Blade: Ladas
    soap: MDC
    Witch Hazel: Generic unscented

This was a nice shave this morning despite the razor I chose. I picked a gillette old with an open comb and it seemed as though the teeth on the comb was dragging on my skin. It was definitely the comb and not the blade. This is a pretty old razor and most of the plating has come off of the comb. Tomorrow I will try a different razor and see what I get.

All in all, a nice shave with great results.
