Getting ready to go back home

Simply perfect. Simply superb. The more I use this Mastro Livi straight razor the more I like it. I am about to leave and to go back home, so a good shave is the right thing to do before starting packing. Not to mention how good is this RWL34 steel in shaving: keen, deep and sharp, it gives a super smooth shave. I love this razor!

Today I tried the wife's Neutrogena Rainbath. It does have a wonderful scent and easily soaps up in warm water. Nice! Save the Face wash for the COLD rinse gives it maximum CHILL. Larry's brush, still in the break-in stage, whipped up a mountain of thick, slick lather. The Hemp/Aloe Blend has great moisturizing for my sensitive skin. I like Energy's light, fresh start-your-day scent. The Mergress continues to impress in all areas except the chin, fortunately the Milord Super Speed was nearby to maneuver the craggy chin. Think Iron Jay! In any case a two pass BBS with "No cuts, no nicks, and no weepers." The Alum Block sealed the deal and the menthol pumped Dickerson's and Proraso Aftershave iced it all down. Aaaagh! After a wonderful cup-a-joe I added the finale, some Burberry Cologne. Have a great shave!

  12. Sounds nice, I'm glad you liked it =) I think RR soaps have the same base so if you like this one a lot you will probably find one that performs similar to it =D maybe in a different scent though
  13. My understanding is that RR makes both tallow and vegetable-based croaps, so there's some slight variance in performance.

  15. That's good to know. But the base for the RR X is used in other scents right?

  19. Shave of the evening, OCtober

Pre- Hot shower, Bulldog original face wash

Soap/cream- Geo F. Trumpers Rose shave cream (sample from @Slowjoe)

    Brush- Plisson synthetic

    Razor- Gem micromatic open comb

    Blade- Gem stainless steel(3)

Post- Cold water rinse and Nivea aftershave balm

No aftershave splash because Im going to bed soon.

First impression of the shave cream, the scent is absolutely heavenly. I don't know about you guys but I'm gonna get a soap or cream with a rose scent and have at all time.

The cream wasn't one of my top performers. I think next time I will use more product. It's the first time
I use it so I didn't know how much I needed. But I know it's more than I used =P

The lather kind of dissipated on my face on the second and "third pass". I know this shave cream can provide a good lather but I didn't get it THIS time. Hopefully next time will be better =)

I tried shaving in a different way, laying the head of my MMOC flat on my skin and shaving. A tip from a fellow member. It felt like I could get really good shaves with this method, it wasn't as "harsh" as usual. Even though I already get great shaves, I think this way I could get better shaves. Thank you @fram773

And thank you @Slowjoe ! Even if this cream doesn't work you have introduced me to rose scented lather
